Removal of the one touch up/down windows for the rear doors. wonder if we will see any window stickers reflecting this elimination.

INFORMATION
Product Offering Changes: 2022 MY Expedition Second Row One Touch Up/Down Power Windows Feature Removal

ACTION REQUESTED
  • Due to the global semiconductor shortage, customers taking delivery of Timberline 501A, Limited, King Ranch, or Platinum Expedition including Second Row One Touch Up/Down Power Windows must be informed that Expedition is not equipped with the Second Row One Touch Up/Down Power Windows as the feature is not available. This feature provides the ability to open and close the second row windows all the way by pressing on the rear window button once and letting go.
  • Due to the inconvenience caused by this delay, Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of these units has been reduced by $50. This adjustment will be reflected on the window label.
  • Customer must sign the attached Acknowledgement Form with the understanding that the feature has been removed, is not functional, and they will not be charged for it. Copy of the signed Acknowledgment Form must be included in the deal jacket.

Impacted scheduled units will be spec changed to include the Second Row One Touch Up/Down Power Windows Removal (19L). There is a $50 MSRP credit that will be included on all impacted units.

So glad I have a 21. And yes, I doubt that the global window down would work for the rear without this feature.

It's funny to me how we over complicate everything, likely to create opportunities to increase revenue, and it bites us when our just in time delivery/manufacturing system is pinched. I remember my 1987 subaru that had one touch front windows (didn't have rear just front two) and all it was, was a mechanical difference in the switch itself and a sensor on the window motor that stopped when the resistance and load increased (the window was at a top or bottom). It worked for 250k miles and 10 years just fine. Now we need a fancy module in every door and like 2 or 3 others.

Something so basic... I feel for folks trying to buy these things right now.

We show a $50 credit for its removal plus another $50 credit for the removal of the stop/start option.

I got the $50 for the auto second row removal. I was not able to remove the start/stop option. I am not sure if that is a mileage issue on the SPP or if that option does not carry over to the SPP. I guess I will find out once it gets here.

I am going to miss the feature on my BMW that allows me to hold the unlock button as I walk up to the car and have all 4 windows open along with the sun roof. On hot days the car cools to ambient temp immediately by doing that. I think that is what I will miss the most.

I can do that with my 2020 Exp and my 2022 F150. If you have Forscan you can enable it. I can roll them up or down with the remote.

$50 credit for not having it.

Makes me wonder how much a Ford dealer might charge for parts to add this feature. Guessing many times more….

Just took delivery of a MY 23 Platinum, and in addition to 2nd row one touch removal, there is no one touch roll up on the FRONT windows either.

I have a unicorn, it seems.
I must have a unicorn too. 8/22 was my build week. I do not have the credit on my window sticker, and I do have one touch up and down on second row. My only credit was for removal of handsfree liftgate, which somehow conflicted with other options I ordered.

It should have auto up and down. You may need to re-calibrate the front windows. I had to on the 2023 I took delivery of in December. To calibrate start with window fully up, hold switch to fully roll down and hold for an additional few seconds, then up doing the same, then back down doing the same, and up one last time doing the same. Then test one press down and up.
