Has anyone ever heard/used this before?

Not having any luck sanding my trailer hitch, thinking about ordering some of this stuff... I've only heard good things about it.

Por 15 is ssuppose to be one of the best products out there, I have never personally used it, but several people I know say it is an excellent product.

It's been a few years since I have messed with it. (Jeep owners love it, BTW) I do not know if they heve changed the product much, but in the past, you needed to make sure that you painted over it. The POR15 itself did not hold up well to the elements.

It does work great, though!

So I sprayed the hitch last night with PB Blaster and I woke up this morning to find that ALL the rust is gone...

I'm extremely surprised/happy.. lol

My question is... do you guys think it is safe to paint on top of it now? Or do I need to do any more prep work?

Also... got some of it on my bumper after I bed lined it.. any ideas how to take it off? I'm about to just paint over it.

I've only heard good things about it. It only needs a topcoat if its directly exposed to UV. I plan to pick up a quart and go to town on my expy. I've heard it actually has pretty good coverage as well.

Just spray it with PB Blaster... I had no idea it would actually work... I just wanted to try, woke up next morning and literally ALL of the rust was gone.

Is there anything I can spray on top of the bed liner/trailer hitch after I paint it to protect it? Kinda like a clear coat I guess?

May want to get a wax and grease remover before you use the por15 to make sure the residue from the pb is completely gone.

POR15, is a great product. I have also used Chassis Saver. Same basic principle. Regardless, which one you use, it will fade and dull, with UV exposure. You can paint right over it, with a product like Rustoleum, or similar.

I'm thinking about trying a bedliner product, on both my truck and Expy receiver.
