I need to replace the stock brake pads on my 04 X-P....Can anyone suggest which pads? The stock ones just create too much brake dust...Also what do you guys think about the crossed drilled and slotted rotors?

I cannot vouch for anything on these pads but the price.

I just bought, but haven't installed, a full set of ceramic pads made by *** (shoot...can't remember the name...I'll add it later) I hadn't heard of the name anyway... for $68.00 at Checkers Auto Parts. (A local chain)

We'll see how they hold up.

Crossdrilling only really works in racing applications.

Slotting is a great way to help get rid of the gasses and dust created by braking.

janz,
I have power slot rotors and hawks pads I love them. I have heard of the drilled rotors warp. I would stick with just the slotted rotors and not the combo of slotted and drilled.

I just replaced my front brakes with Duralast Gold DG934 from Autozone. $30.00 out the door. NO DUST! You can order them online from their website. Lifetime warranty.

janz,
I got them right here.

I got them when they were doing a special offer, I would tell the customer service that you heard from a friend that they were including the Hawk pads in with the power slot rotors, you might get that deal instead of paying for pads and rotors. wink wink.

Hope that this helps you and for price it is different for different modles.
