Try lubing the metal track each side. Solved the issue after I did the compartment upgrade.
Mine was like that from the factory and they replaced it under warranty. I have since replaced the compartment with one of the bigger ones with no wireless charger. It is a very simple mechanism. If lubing doesn't work, you might take the compartment out and see if you can find the problem or just let the dealer fix it the next time you are in for service.
What compartment upgrade? That space is so wasted on my ‘22, and the wireless charging is just about useless. Always overheats my phone and it’s such a pain to get the phone in and out.
