Just a quick FYI, not sure the part number above is current for the non wireless compartment mat. I ordered that one and got a tiny little rubber mat. I had to re-order using this part number:
JL3Z-15045G34-AA.

Hopefully, it’s the right one.
I got the little pad too so ordered the one you posted.thanks!

Same thing here, just picked up the 2 parts from Ford and looked at that tiny thing, haha. Can you return parts to Ford?

My parts guy let me return the euro license plate bracket I ordered, really gave me credit against the right one. Didn’t bother with the tiny mat and just ordered correct one, FYI if you order front LP mount the PN does give you hardware and again parts guy was cool and offered me riviera or screws I chose screws as I don’t have rivet gun, if I ever install may get rivets instead.

Got it done today with this mat JL3Z-15045G34-AA
I have long skinny fingers so getting to those 3x plugs underneath wasn't too bad, but someone with big meat-hands may have a bit of trouble.
I think it's worth the effort no doubt. I did notice that the lid is in a bind now, it will still slide back and forth and lock in place, but is definitely rubbing. Oh well, it stays open 95% of the time.

Any opportunity to remove the lid while in there? I've got the parts and need to do this and since I never close mine, figured I'd just take the lid out unless it's going to leave some kind of weird, large gap.

Yeah when you remove the bin, the lid is secured and comes off with it, and it's only 2 screws to swap over to the new bin. I thought about leaving it off, but my wife said she sometimes does close it and lays things to top, so I left it on.

I just finished installing the new larger bin. After removing the four screws for the old bin it would only move about an inch, the harness for the inductive pad had no slack, I had to remove the connector while the bin was basically in place. Very difficult to find and then press the release. So, it ended up taking much longer than expected.
I noticed an earlier post mentioning fault codes due to removal of the inductive pad, so I removed the pad from the bin, plugged it back in and secured it to the large harness in front of the bin area. No interference with the larger bin, no fault code.
Happy with new bin. Thanks for original post.
