Mileage improvents
Now that my wife is officially in love with her new 05 limited, it's here to stay for a long time. It has 190k on it, its 2 wheel drive, and it's a spotless, surprisingly tight southern vehicle. Replacement Grille
Now that I have engine in the wife's new 05 limited all straitened out, I'd like to make a few changes to it. 05 intake, injectors, and such.
So I bought a 05 that had no compression on #4. I confirmed this, and found a broken valve spring. Replaced the spring, and it runs much better, but not 100%. Cam timing.
At the time, I didn't intent to flip it, but this other one came up and I offered this to my cousin/next door neighbor very reasonable. Pretty sure he wants it, if not I'll gladly keep it. Cam timing.
Thank for the help, I pulled the front cover and they had the timing correct. I came to the conclusion the noise was a bad cam phaser. The drivers side would wind up and snap over as valve spring resistance changed. The cam saddles and caps had a little wear on them, along with the mains on...- 9723VF350
