2000 Bauer dome light failure. Copper bands broken. Can they be replaced/ repaired or does the entire overhead light component have to be replaced? I assume only option for latter is salvage yard find.
Watching the video had me envisioning a struggling, 6 hour project just to get the dash off- OR getting the dash out without much problem then taking 6 hours to get in back in. I would need to set aside a full day for the project given my low confidence level over it. Pretty apparent that I...
Soldering would not be the issue with me. It's taking the dash apart to get to the bad connection. Forget about it!

As stated earlier, same odometer light problem. Found a YouTube video on how to repair it. Unfortunatrly, too much awkward work for my skills.

Congrats! You will enjoy. I have white 2000 EB 5.4L V8 with 133K on it with only minor body dings, one past electrical issue with a window motor and one current odometer display that randomly goes off and on, but not worrying about right now (probably a worn solder connection). Overall, VERY...
True! I looked up cabin filters online and one parts store had about eight different filters for my year/model. What??? Pretty funny!

Thank you for the confirmation. I discovered that with some disassembly below the glovebox earlier tonight. Actually relieved it didn't have one since it has been 20 years since purchase!

On my 2000 EB 5.4L there is nothing in the engine compartment, as identified in the link, nor is it located under the glove box. There is a cover underneath the glove box, but removing it reveals a black plastic cover for the AC unit. Nothing that resembles a location for a filter.

Does the 2000 5.4L Bauer model have a cabin air filter? My Exp manual does not reference anything, so maybe not?

2000 EB 5.4L. 134K miles. Never a problem until transmission recently started slip. Got a quote and my wife said sell it; not worth putting 2x the $ than worth to get it fixed. Talked her into keeping it; many miles to go. Been a lifesaver and convenience over the past 18 years.
