    Locked seat belt

You cannot pull it any farther? Even a little bit would release it I would think. Otherwise if your truck is a 97-02 you should be able to remove the headrest by using a little release button near the base of the headrest. If it is newer, not really sure if they still work that way or are...

    rack and pinion issue

I was talking to a ford tech a few weeks ago while trying to diagnose an odd catching feeling in my parent's 04. He told me it was very rare for a steering rack to actually fail. In our case it was the u-joints connecting the steering wheel to the rack that had become stiff. I would also...

    please help brake issues

Very good. Loss of vacuum was a nice catch. Glad you found it.

    Hello Again

I've been away for some time. Finishing out the last requirements of my Bachelor's degree had me very distracted... The expedition is at 244k now and knocks like all hell from the top end but still seems to run fine. I think the timing chains are making noise though :( I am in the hunt for...

    please help brake issues

Try putting the truck on ramps and bleeding that way. Air is in the lines somewhere. I had the brake line leading from the frame to the front caliper blow out on my truck. The flexible tube is basically two pieces and those blew apart. If you don't see a massive amount of fluid though, then...

    Steering Rack

Has anyone had to replace the steering rack in their 2nd gen? My mom has been complaining of stiff steering in her 2004, and when I finally got around to test driving it, it was like the steering was missing a tooth. It would get hard, then easy, hard, then easy as i turned left and right...

    My truck is screaming

It's the tensioner or idler pulley! I literally just had my truck start this over the weekend. Fixed it today. Here is a video, very easy fix. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=32bD08VSh_I

    Timing Chain loose? Need help...

Look for a COP out of place. Usually the plug forces the COP up and out, at least from what I have seen.

    Death wobble?!?!

That's not good. Is it on the sidewall? If so that sucker is gonna blow soon

    How comfortable is your Expedition?

The window regulator busts loose and rattles. That's my problem anyways. Give mine a 6/10 for physical comfort. Stiff tires don't take any small road imperfections well. It rides like a truck though which is fine by me. 10/10 for confidence and reliability. Truck has seen 3 feet of snow in 3...

Interesting idling when weather is >65 degrees/interchangeable ECU's?

I got a chance to watch the video now. That is definitely interesting. Have you checked the idle air control valve? Your engine is idling high, even when not missing

    Clearing an ABS light.

It's possible the fluid level has nothing to do with the ABS light. When the light is on, the system automatically has disabled itself for one reason or another. Usually the red brake light signals very low fluid. I would have the ABS codes pulled

    Stacked lift spacers?

If you can find a machine shop and can show them what you are looking for, they could cut you any height you want. Might be a little more than just buying the spacers, but still would be fairly cheap. And as long as they aren't installing them, they should have no issue making them as far as...

Interesting idling when weather is >65 degrees/interchangeable ECU's?

Colder weather will bring out ignition issues. I can't watch the video yet but the computer in my truck has seen -20 temps and keeps the idle ok, spark plugs and COP's on the other hand didn't take the weather well. Im not saying the programmer guy is necessarily wrong, but if your motor is not...

    6.2 L in an Expy

Is the 6.2 a "big block"? Its my understanding that is a big motor, so I think it would be really tough given the current amount of space available with the 5.4 small block. But people can do some crazy things with some fabrication skills.
