    I replaced mine with a duralast part from autozone. I don't know if it's entirely necessary to spend 2-3 times as much to go with the motorcraft part.

    Did you replace the IAC, or just clean it? Any codes? I had some of the same symptoms you're describing and had a CEL related to the IAC. I cleaned it, and still had issues. Then replaced it, and the idle has been normal since.

    Is the air compressor switch under the passenger side dash turned back on? If it were me (and I already did) I'd replace both air bags with coils and forget about the air ride.

    Is it throwing any codes? Mine had the same symptoms and I sprayed some carb cleaner through the throttle body and it helped for a while, but then it threw a code related to the IAC. I'm now in the process of cleaning the entire upper intake manifold elbow including the IAC. It's really nasty...

    Taking apart my upper intake to get it all cleaned out, one of the EGR bolts broke off in the elbow. Are there any differences between the model years for the 5.4 engines? I've got a '97 and am looking to just buy another one from a yard or ebay and not mess with trying to extract the broken...

    Basically what this is saying is if a new PCM is installed, you can reprogram the newly installed PCM to your existing keys and everything will work just as it should? No need to take the vehicle to the dealer to reprogram the PCM or PATS?
