OK. so I had something similar a while back. The main thing that caught my eye is when you state you are pulling a trailer. I had the same issue with the ABS coming on. Months of investigating and it ended up being the gear and pinion in the rear diff was completely broken (only after a...
try searching for the f150. they make that stuff for the trucks more so than the expeditions. a 1997-2002 f150 mount will fit a 1st gen expedition. or just get a roof rack! haha
just an FYI. The eyourlife are a great addition (I have three on my truck). However, you will want to take extra caution and seal them up. I took off the ends and RTV'd them, re-tightened all the little screws across the front plate as tight as I could and put silicone around the front glass...
I actually spent some time researching this as I have been in search for a big/upgraded brake kit for a while. I ended up going with the Powerstop (slotted/drilled) rotors and their brakes Z36. Part no. K1869-36. Did some shopping around and I ended up using JC Whitney's coupon code to price...
I have these as well. They are a suitable replacement, but only went with them for a cheaper alternative (and the lifetime warranty).
Would go with something different next time (or when funds become available).
Anyone have a problem with the passenger mirror being extremely zoomed in on the top mirror vs the drivers side. The right mirror is like 5x zoom compared to the drivers side mirror
Just want to see if this is normal or if I got a defective pair. Let me know!!!!
Thanks!!!
anyone try disconnecting and bypassing the abs module all together. I am having a problem with the abs light going on and off, while the brakes keep pulsating. Doesn't do it all the time, but when the abs light comes on (and the abs module quits working) the braking is much, much better...
I ended up fixing my problem by replacing the rear abs ring. It had completely disconnected and broken. By replacing that as well as my front hubs with sensors, everything is back to normal.
I know how you feel. It can be quite scary on braking hard or on hills haha. Might be a couple of things. I had this problem recently, and replaced both of the front hubs w/ sensors and it helped a little, esp. in your case with the pulling. Unless you have a brake/ rotor problem. Another...
I have 35's with no lift (2001 4x4). Had to trim the front flares a bit. But be warned, the rear diff/rear axel might have problems. I had to replace mine with the biggest baddest parts on the market.
