I had the same issue with the rear wiper. It turned out not to be the motor but the latch for the rear window. If the rear window is not completely close the rear wiper will not work; that same latch becomes defective and will not allow the circuit to close. I bypassed mine and it works...
That is not a bad idea. If I was to go with a Cobra engine I would have to find a place for my battery since the intake on the Cobra engine goes to the left of the engine vs straight forward and to the right on the truck's original 4.6 or 5.4. The one thing IO would definitely have to upgrade...
You are right the Terminator's last production year was 2004, but the Cobra engine continued production in the Lincoln Aviator. I plan on buying an Aviator and taking engine and transmission for my truck. If the interior is in good condition I will use it in my daughter's Explorer.
I appreciate your concern 1955moose, but as ogre20012001 stated I left my mechanical fan on. The electric fans are just an addition. I am my own mechanic. Working on this truck however labor intensive may be at times is my PTSD therapy. Look forward to the advice and wisdom on this forum on...
Here is a picture of the fans I purchased from amazon. The price is the most amazing thing! $31.99 for the set of 2!

I bought a 1999 Expedition in the year 2000. Drove it from San Antonio to Alaska due to military orders. While in Alaska, I had purchased a big travel trailer and the Expy was not strong enough to pull it back to San Antonio and I had no option but to sell my beloved truck in Alaska 2006. I...
Looking for a solution to the Texas heat I installed two 12 inch electric fans and a transmission cooler.
I feels that I have a new truck! temperature is down to a mind blowing 41.5 degrees, and you can't even hear the fans running!!
Fixed!!! It was not the battery, the alternator or any of the grounds.... the culprit was the small wire that goes into the stator. The wire showed evidence of corrosion, and was only occasionally making contact with the stator. If that wire is not working, nothing in the charging system...
It was not the alternator the fusible link or the battery, it was non of the grounds. The small wire (white and black) that comes out from the center of the main three wire plug unto the stator was corroded. Cleaned it pinched it and the battery light went away. The test of the battery...
My battery light is on all the time. Thinking that it was a bad alternator and without testing the old one, I bought a new alternator. The battery is also new. I have checked the wires and nothing seems to be out of the ordinary. The main issue is that the alternator does not seem to be...
I am an active duty member with 30 years of service in the Army. Married with two daughters, and a grandson. I love tinkering around with auto mechanics and helping my neighbors save money in automotive repairs. I found a truck that I used to own 11 years ago, and had sold when stationed in...
