    You are right the Terminator's last production year was 2004, but the Cobra engine continued production in the Lincoln Aviator. I plan on buying an Aviator and taking engine and transmission for my truck. If the interior is in good condition I will use it in my daughter's Explorer.

    Fixed!!! It was not the battery, the alternator or any of the grounds.... the culprit was the small wire that goes into the stator. The wire showed evidence of corrosion, and was only occasionally making contact with the stator. If that wire is not working, nothing in the charging system...
