I don't use it anywhere near as often as I wish I did LOL. In the winter I have it on auto four wheel drive just in case I need it but I don't have many opportunities if any take it off-road. I was looking for a place in my area where I could play around in the mud but haven't had any luck yet...
Everything was going great until I decided to test out my 4x4. She's really sluggish in 4x4 and it's noticeably louder. I got a check engine light so I switched it back to 2wd and pulled the codes. Got a P1867 in the "Enhanced Codes" section of my reader but it's not an active code. Gonna just...
So it's been throwing the P0420 since I got it. The check engine light will come on after around 100 miles of driving. I've cleared it after trying a couple of things that some people told me were would potentially fix it and it always came back after about a hundred miles give or take 20 on...
Was driving home from Texas Roadhouse tonight and got a check engine light. Thought it was just the p0420 code that I have had since i bought her. The previous owners told me they replaced all the o2 sensors so it is most likely a bad cat. Turns out that this code was a p2270 instead. Anyone...
I actually ended up going through Crutchfield for everything because of house awesome they are. I've had friends and family over the years that have had nothing but great experiences
I was able to get everything tight eventually. Alignment was way off but got an Alignment done at a local shop and she's running like a top now. Next project is a new radio. Trying to figure out what I need to make sure the steering wheel controls still work lol
Out of curiosity do you know which harness is needed? I looked on the site for maestro and the expedition isn't on the list of vehicles. The explorer is but not the expedition
Guess I should add that i got a new cv axle, wheel hubs for both sides, upper control arms for both sides, and an outer tie rod end because I had to cut the old one off the driver side.
So after a month of not having my car I finally was able to get all the old parts out and started putting in the new. Running into a few issues. Mostly with the new ball joints in the upper control arms. Can't seem to get the center shaft to not spin long enough to to torque it down. I've tried...
I snagged some MOOG wheel hubs from rock auto. I've used their stuff before and have liked what I've seen so it was a no brainer for me.
I didn't realize that they weren't replaceable on the Ford especially considering so many companies sell upper ball joints specifically for that model. Yeah I...
Yeah, I had a mechanic friend of mine come by and help me look at it and he recommended replacing the upper ball joint, the CV axle, and the wheel hub. He recommended going wheel hub versus just replacing the bearing because there are a few other things that he saw in there that looked like they...
