Thought about it. But decided to install a battery in the tongue box. I keep a solar panel on it connected to a battery tender controller.
I have a very similar sized winch and had no problem pulling a 3500 pound car up a grade onto the trailer.
Ordered September 27th. Build March 3rd. Have the sticker. Supposed to be at the dealer between the 16th and 22nd.
Limited High, HDTT, 40/20/40 2nd row.

There is a whole other thread on this issue.
I can't directly answer your question. But the 7 pin does have one listed as "hot". That should be the one that will charge the trailer battery when connected to the vehicle.
I use a small solar panel and a Battery Tender solar controller to keep mine topped off.
Both of the above suggestions should be taken as gospel. The other thing I will put in here is maintenance. "Both of the vehicles are new!" you say? Yes, but proper tire pressures, making sure the trailer hubs and brakes are right, making sure "Maxie" gets fluid changes, brakes and shocks looked...
The maiden voyage for towing with the Expy AND the new trailer. From Akron to Detroit isn't much of a challenge.

There are multiple threads here dealing with trailer towing...

Want to quantify the difference between Fram and Motorcraft or Amsoil (Made by Wix) filters? Take them out of the box and weigh them.
It's a clear indicator of what's on the inside. I have been involved in...
