Finally got around to installing the new line. 20 minutes worth of work. I used the old clips to sort of secure the new line to the cross beam.
I used the 60 inch line on the drivers side caliper. Just carefully fed the line over the gas tank and gas tank hoses/wiring. Threaded the...
So from another site I was able to get some part numbers to build the rear left to right line. I picked these up at Advanced Auto. Please note that PA (used to be PAX) in the part numbers is the American (standard size) . PAE is the European (metric)
1 pc PA-360 (60 inch brake tube)
1 pc...
I have the same issue right now. Thought it was the rubber hose but turns out it's the steel line. It appears that there are two steel lines. One coming to the caliper and what appears to be a return. I will post my findings as I take everything apart.
So after a lot of research, I found a diagram on ebay with the bolt part number. Couldn't match anything on google but get a part number that was close. Turns out it's an m6x25. Lowes sells automotive fender and body bolts and had that size. just over a buck and they fit to boot. Just...
Replaced my water pump and AC compressor and lost the bolts for the fan shroud. Anyone know what size bolts so that I can just run to Home Depot and pick something up.

Plastic pieces
There is a plastic plate under the intake manifold. It becomes brittle over time and disintegrates like that. I know because I had to replace the heater tube that goes into the intake manifold and in order to do that job you have to remove the entire intake assembly. Didn't...
Trailing Arms
You will have to use ratchet straps or a come along to pull the axle back. I actually used ratchet straps to hold the axle in place before removing the trailing arms and only did one at a time.
I can't help with the part number right now. I have the service manual at home for 97 - 2001 Ford Trucks. Will send a note to you on Friday when I get home. If you get the size of the bolt you can order something similar from Fastenal. Cheaper than the stealership.
a/c pulley locked up
I had something similar happen after driving 1400 miles. Next morning got in and the truck made a small attempt at turning over. Took the serpetine belt off, turned the key and she started right up. My a/c pulley have seized. Easier to pull the belt than it is to pull...
radio noise suppressor is a possibility. There are two, one on either side of the front of the engine. It rusts out and causes stumbling when they get wet. Hope this helps
Tell me about it Bad Ronald. When I got the drivers side out with little problem and all the nuts came off easy, I thought I was home scott free. I guess I can't complain, she is a 97 with 189k miles all in CT.
No problems jacking up the tank. Went extra slow though. The fear was cracking or puncturing the tank. Jacked up enough to slide the bolt out. Doesn't have to be jacked up much just make sure the jack is not in the way of the bolt. Don't ask how I know...
Fastenal did not have the bolts...
So couldn't find the lower front bolt anywhere locally. Decided to try something crazy. Used a jack to push up on the gas tank and it was
enough to remove the bolt without cutting it. Finished the drivers side in
less than 1/2 hour for upper and lower. 10 minutes to finish passenger side...
So I went to the Ford stealership today and came back with some information that hopefully is helpful for others.
Both front bolts for upper and lower trailing arms are 16mm
Both rear bolts for upper and lower trailing arms are 14mm
Part numbers
Front bolts - W705000-S428
Front nuts -...
