Looking through the wiring diagram for a 2006
I see under the hood:
A/C clutch relay red/yellow
PCV valve dark blue / white
ABS module pin 4 tan/red
Transmission left side light blue / pink
I don't love those really. Might just run a wire through the firewall. Looks like some switched fuses...

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a switched (ignition) 12v wire under the hood. If it can handle an additional 20A that's even better, but otherwise I'll add a relay.

I stumbled on this video too talking about 2011-2012 EcoBoost and it sounds like Ford ended up ditching the aspirator bit?

These have a vacuum pump too though to supplement
So the check valve in this case is called an aspirator and it looks like it follows the design here:

One the venturi effect gets involved, Id normally head for the hills . But I'm going to keep testing here.
Hopefully someone with a 2006 can chime in but in case it helps here is the 2005 lower hose, goes to a metal line that runs around the back.
Let me know if this is the wrong line or if you need to know where the metal connects and I can see what I can do

I have a 2005 Eddie Bauer with AdvanceTrac
My issue is very weak braking power when first pushing the pedal. If I leave my foot on it for a second and push further, it grabs nicely. Pedal is very firm with engine off so I believe this to be a vacuum issue.
