Minor update: A month later and one of the expeditions that spurred this thread is still available. Although the mark up has dropped considerably and I think it is around 5%. 2022 Expedition - Schedule for production ?
I was told by one dealer that this was one of the few expeditions that the dealer was able to take normal delivery of. He said they have only gotten 5 2022s since launch. Hearsay but that is what I was told. He also said they have less luxo options standard which helped them with chip delays...- Luftcooled

Im seeing the light. My 'rush' was because I have an ecoboost taurus that needed the dreaded 3000 dollar timing chain fix. The car is pretty beat and this repair is a sizeable % of the total value of the car. But, realizing that dumping this car to save the 3k but then paying a 20k premium on a...- Luftcooled

Based on talking to dealers all day I am just going to rent a car for vacation and see what happens in the next 5 months. I just talked to one dealer, he said to try back in August for a factory order. Not sure if this is regional or per dealership. I read a number of threads saying there was an order bank open as of a few weeks ago. The only Expedition they have is a new 2021 with 4 miles on it, not at all what...- Luftcooled

So I am looking for a Limited with the 304A package. There are a number within a 1-2hr drive but they are all pretty high over MSRP, as in 25% higher. I didnt attempt to negotiate. Is this pretty normal these days? Maybe Im naive but I dont see this being a car worth 115k. Second question...- Luftcooled
