I experienced this behavior/message about a year ago with my '18 Limited.
On the repair notes it says "Repair wires at left parking brake motor harness per SSM 52881".
Probably not all that descriptive of a note, but seems to match what @2019XLT describes above in that ithe cause was an...
I have seen the number appear on my 2018 Limited a couple of times. However, that's been it...number has appeared a couple times and went away each time. No known overheating problems. And, no pattern to understand why it happened those couple of times.
Trying to find a "do it all" replacement for the factory Hankooks where I wouldn't need snow tires during Midwest winters, could do some light trail driving in sandy dirt, and still do well on dry and wet pavement, I put the Cooper Discoverer Road & Trail ATs on my '18 Limited this past fall.
I...
This.
Disabling the feature on my '18 limited was one of the best "mod's" I've made.
The lift gate always tried to kill me when hooking up (or unhooking) trailers.
FWIW...I put 18-inch Cooper Discoverer Road and Trail AT's on my '18 Limited this past Fall, with the hope I could get by in all 4 Michigan seasons w/o needing/wanting a dedicated snow tire. Previously, I ran the Bridgestone Blizzaks on the Expy in winter.
While I find the Coopers better than...
I have to +1 the love for the Michelin Cross Climate 2's.
Although I do not have them on my Expedition (disappointingly), I have them on my Honda Pilot and they've been rock solid through everything. I am particularly impressed with their snow-handling. I stuck with them all winter on the...
For some reason, I thought the transmission "learning mode" disabled the gear skips. However, I can find nothing in writing at the moment to back that up
In the case I am right about that, I would expect a brand new Expy to be in learning mode when driven off the lot. Perhaps that could be...
I have a 2018 Limited, so perhaps a different beast. However, when I had something that sounds like what you are describing, it turned out to be a trashed front diff.
FWIW: I complained of the transmission oddities of our '18 Limited every time I took the car in for anything. Always got the patented "no codes - can't do anything" or "can't reproduce" responses. However, after enough complaining the dealer finally had the tech inspect the tranny and found...
I'm not 100% certain. My dealer has said "a couple tanks of gas," but based off my experience the rough shifting usually returns within days.
I took a quick look, but couldn't find an "official" explanation of when the learning cycle ends.
Please let us know if the rough shifting returns.
My dealer frequently "resets" the transmission to default back to "learning mode" when I take my '18 Limited in for service and complain of ongoing "rough shifting." Once through the "learning mode," any perceived improvement in the shifting...
Your mileage may vary, but the TSB did not resolve the issue for me. I ultimately followed the advice of others and disconnected the sensor/antenna.
