if you have larger diameter tires, I’d guess it’s probably staying in a lower gear?
My ‘19 with 3.73 final gear towing 24’ enclosed 7000lbs averages 9.5mpg going 70-75mph.

Without the WDH, expedition sways quite a bit more when passing semis, and also going over dips you can really feel the weight transfer. On the excursion… it still improved but wasn’t as noticeable.
Yeah this was probably my 7th or 8th time and worst I got was 10.7 on a very windy day going about 75mph
Mine is equipped with the 3.73 final gear which I’m sure helps

Trans temp is pretty solid at 215.

I recently installed the PowerStop Z36 Truck & Tow front brake rotor and pad kit.
Much better bite then the stock pads and gives off slightly less brake dust. Zero noise and stopping with a trailer is much better. Came with drilled and slotted rotors.
