They don't even compare to the Explorer, my wife has one and its twice the size of the Bronco Sport. The new Explorer are much better than their predecessors.
The other thing I did besides a WDH (Weight Distribution Hitch) is change the tires to a LT instead of a P rating the stiffer sidewall really does help with the stability of these rigs while toeing they like to sway, dance, shimmy. Not death wobble but a slight back and forth.
I have Yokahama Geolanders on mine and love them. You can air them up to 80psi when towing then bring them back down to 40psi when not keeps the ride comfortable. They are very reasonably priced at America's Tire / Discount Tire store.
I have an e rated tire that was the first thing I did. I upgraded the shocks after my second trip not to the bilsteins though.
