Console removed (temporarily) and battery drains?
Thanks for the reply. I haven't taken the time to put a meter on it. It's too cold for me to spend a bunch of time outside. And I don't have a heated shop...... (wishlist) And I'm thinking it will go away with everything reinstalled. I'm guessing there is switch that closes to ground...- OneLong4x4

Console removed (temporarily) and battery drains?
Anyone know what might be the culprit? I have removed the console on my '03 XLT 5.4L 4x4. Ever since its been removed the battery has been draining itself. I get about three days before no start. In the interim, I just unhook battery and no current drain. I'm hoping someone knows the...- OneLong4x4

My Exp is having alternator problems. Battery is brand new. How many amps was my original? I think I have heard 100A & 130A were standard. What's the application to ask for to get the higher output alternator? Year, make, model? I assume the Navigators came with higher output? I'm...- OneLong4x4

Battery hold down bolt
Anyone know what size the battery hold-down bolt is? Diameter & thread pitch. I busted mine off. Penetrating oil and heat will remove the remaining portion. Then I will be sure to use antiseize and/or get a stainless bolt from Fastenal. Thanks.- OneLong4x4

Stupid question?

Might seem stupid, but does anybody have some sort of catch-all bin or trash bag in their Ex? Mine's my daily driver and I always accumulate cans, bottles, wrappers, trash.
