    The firmware is most likley the same. However, the APIM and other modules are most likely configured differently for your market which is why you will see difference in the way things function. The problem is that there are no configuration spreadsheet available for the Digital Experience system...

    FWIW, I reported the issue to Ford's OTA team and sent them the VINs of the those who provided them. This does not mean anything will immediately be fixed, but if there is an issue on their side causing this, they have a few examples to look into.

    Well, that sucks. The only thing left to try is the 20 minute 12v battery disconnect then. If that doesn't get it to go through, then I am out of ideas. Just do not do a master reset on the touchscreen. That will cancel the OTA trigger and the update will fail right away.

    You can try what was mentioned earlier in the thread. Seems to have worked for two different owners. WiFi is not necessary. Even with WiFi turned on, updates download via the modem 99% of the time.

    No, I have auto updates turned off on purpose. I don't want PCM updates wiping the tune on my truck, so I like to see what is going to install before I let it. In my case, I turned on the truck and the message was there to install it and I said yes. Next key cycle, it installed with no issues.

    Interesting, because this update installs while the truck is on and running and not when you set the OTA auto-updates time for, but maybe updating the time release the module from some kind of logic-lock that allows it to install. Not sure, but whatever it takes to make it work.
