2025 Expedition Tremor (Saudi Arabia) - Ford Digital Experience without Google Maps / Play Store

Hello everyone,


I own a 2025 Ford Expedition Tremor delivered by the official Ford dealer in Saudi Arabia.


My vehicle has the new Ford Digital Experience system running Android 12.


Everything else works normally:

• FordPass works (remote start, lock/unlock, vehicle status)
• Vehicle Connectivity is active
• Wi-Fi is available
• Software is fully up to date

However, my system does not include:

• Google Maps
• Google Play Store
• Google Assistant

Interestingly, there is still a menu called “Google Assistant & Voice”, but it says “No digital assistant”.


I would like to know:

1. Is the Middle East firmware different from the US firmware?
2. Is Google Automotive Services (GAS) removed from Middle East vehicles?
3. Has anyone successfully converted a Middle East vehicle to the US feature set?
4. Can this be enabled using FDRS, APIM programming, or another method?

If anyone owns a US 2025 Expedition with Ford Digital Experience, could you please share:

• APIM part number
• Software version
• Build number
• Photos of the About/System Information page

I would really appreciate any help. Thank you!

The firmware is most likley the same. However, the APIM and other modules are most likely configured differently for your market which is why you will see difference in the way things function. The problem is that there are no configuration spreadsheet available for the Digital Experience system to be able to paly around with FORScan amd make changes.
