    97 Expedition-90 day review

I'm having a similar experience with the one I bought recently. This is really a great vehicle and better handling than I expected. For some reason I thought they were kind of a "thrown" together answer to the fact that Chevy sells so many Suburbans. But that's not the case at all. It's a well...

    New shoes!

Very nice job. Looks great. I need to do tires and shocks (at least) on mine soon. I really like the Bilsteins. I've installed them on a number of my vehicles and have always been happy.

    New 3rd brake lamp

I was shocked at that price myself recently. So for now mine has epoxy on it to fix the crack it had. I'll replace it soon.

    LED Reverse Lights (Backup Lights)

Hello all, I know this topic has been covered in the past, but I thought I would drop a quick note about my reverse light upgrade. These lights are extremely bright and I'm very happy with them. One thing about these is they have a barrel that faces directly back through the reverse light lens...

    Cruise Control recall

Recall Info I think what's happening to Just4Fun is that since he had the recall done already, the fix itself isn't covered under warranty. Or something like that. There's a lot of info here: Recalls Info Just scroll down and enter your trucks year etc.

    Cruise Control recall

I don't think there's ever a time limit on safety recalls. In any case, my dealer has already agreed to do mine.

    Cruise Control recall

215, Yes It can. Mine did and if the old owner hadn't been so fast, it probably would have totaled the truck. I think I remember him saying there were some instructions in the recall letter showing how to disconnect a connector or pull a fuse or something to keep it from catching on fire...

    Cruise Control recall

I just recently bought my truck. The old owner told me about the recall and told me he hadn't gotten it done. He didn't use cruise control so didn't really care. The electrical connector that attaches to the front of the master cylinder did catch on fire and just started to melt the front of the...

    4-Wheel drive upgrades.

Tires are important for sure. And yours are good ones. But unlike you guys, I've been stuck plenty. :shakehead: In sand, mud, and snow. And these days, I want to be able to go wherever I want to with the least chance of getting stuck. As for it being more effort than it's worth, I don't think so...

    Cruise Control recall

But without the jumper do you have to worry about it catching on fire again?

    4-Wheel drive upgrades.

Thanks for the reply's. As far as the F350, it has hubs on the front. So unless I'm using 4-wheel drive, there's no feedback. I do manually lock the hubs periodically to keep everything lubricated and I still don't notice anything. The reason I built this truck with the Detroit in the front is...

    4-Wheel drive upgrades.

My first question has to do with how the stock 4X4 system works. If I’m correct, my ’01 doesn’t have any kind of traction control such as using the ABS system or anything. Correct? So it just has the transfer case with Auto, 4X4 high and 4X4 low. Second, does it have any kind of axle...
