The problem I see with the reports in that page is they don't share a common year set. I would think if it was a systemic issue, it would be in a similar generation. Also - the Expedition is built on the F-150 platform. I looked on that site to see if evidence was available it existed there and...
With the headrest DVD units, only if they were installed at the factory can you use the factory NAV unit to control them. The wires from the headrest units go to a controller box behind the rear panel of the center console. Look up how to remove it if you want to get to it. But, that's not the...
Not even close! You said there are three parts to tires, and the manufacturers know how to put them all together. He was making the same statement based on a similar concept - manufacturing a car. Your statements make no sense at all.
The metal in the radials may be different mixes. The tread...
We had a Honda Accord once. It was having transmission issues. Forget the milage, but it was aged. Honda's stance was "don't ever change transmission fluid - in fact, don't ever open a transmission - it's sealed. If you do, we won't help you". Their position was - by the time your transmission...
Having a lab test your fluids is a smart move. I've thought about getting it done with my truck as well. Do it with my diesel generators at work quarterly. I always forget to ask, though, with my personal stuff.
@07navi you're a big jerk! LOL - I'm kidding. But, funny how this thread took place and this past weekend my check engine light went flashing, motor acted like a plug coil went bad, then recovered. Did this while trying to pass someone on the interstate. Got home, found a DTC for misfire Cyl 8...
When you say "Passed due" it's what you imply. I'm at about 85K and haven't had any power issues or MPG loss. Can't agree plugs are like tires. That's a strange comparison. Plugs are more like light bulbs to me. They work or they don't. Changing them every 30K - wow. But to each their own.
I only buy Michelin's for my vehicles. Seem to have best traction in wet conditions and overall ride. When buying a vehicle without Michelin's on them, I tend to change early to get the ride back. You'll love them too.
Just because you do doesn't mean it's recommended. The Ford guidance is replace spark plugs every 105K miles. Having 95K on the unit is close so if having issues, could make sense.
When the check engine light blinks - that's bad. Means you have a critical issue with the motor. My guess is it could be a spark plug pack going bad (they are on top of each spark plug) a knock sensor going bad, etc. The codes should tell you which cylinder is having the issue. Once you have one...
You can do everything or only some of it. Perhaps a little at a time. Speakers would be where I'd start, though. If you want to do it yourself, Crutchfield is a great source. They have everything you need - plus really good instructions available. Including, how to get the door panels off, trim...
Well......now I'm not 100% sure what I was looking at then. I thought it was the 950 but the JVC site says it does do wireless car play. Wonder if the other unit was V85BT? I'll check when I go back.
