I'm able to access the TPM module but the list of codes shown there doesn't match the ones listed in newer Expeditions for turning off/disabling the TPMS. Attached is a screenshot of the codes, does anyone know which code & value(s) to change for 2nd Gen? Thanks!

Thanks. I don't see a GEM module or presets listed anywhere in my Forscan. The post you linked is from an owner of a 2014 F150. The recommendations match what I found elsewhere for 07 and up model years, incl. the codes, but I haven't found any information whatsoever on deactivating TPMS in 02-06 model years.

Can you post a screen shot of the configuration and programming tab to the left? 43249cddceb0f75056bdf740f5ecfe7f.jpg

Are you running the latest release of forscan? There should be more modules shown.

Check the IC Module or post that here if you can.

I have a wired ELM327. It doesn't have a switch but seems to work fine for everything I try.

Does anybody with an '04 see a different list of modules in their FORScan interface?

Here's the as built data of a 2003 Eddie Bower. Looks like your getting all the modules.

We'll work with what's available. It sounds like a fun project d1750410cceff82d75dafb3e7933eaae.jpg
Update, here's a clue. We should be looking into the instrument cluster module.

Can you post your ICM AS built line? It starts with 60-01 like above.

Hello GetDealtwith

The instrument cluster configuration non asbuilt should have the choices listed under TPMS as "enabled " "disabled" and "not equipped". Not equipped will turn the messenger area warning off completely and disabled will give the warning "TPMS Turned Off" on start up.

Also you will not see some of the modules on the AsBuilt list with a ELM327 based adapter even if it has a switch as modules such as 4X4 control, Heater And AC(EATC) and Drivers seat and climate controled seats and air suspension if yours has it, are on a Uart Based Protocol (UBP) network(Pin 3 in the OBD port) and so far Forscan as had no luck getting ELM327 based adapters to read it.

Forscan can read it with Fords VCM2 and its VCM2 Chinese built clones.

From my recollection, changing the second block from 1800 to 1200 is what you want.

I would click the save all button first to make a backup.

I'm checking with another member on the forscan forum for you.

This worked A+, thanks. You Sir, are the man! - I had searched and posted in the FORScan forum, as well BTW. Couldn't believe there was so much info on how to do this in model years 07+ but not a single breadcrumb for 03-06. Hope this helps someone else out, as well.

For documentation purposes, When you changed it, what came up on the cluster afterwards?
Was it showing "TPMS not equipped"? Or was it "TPMS Disabled"?

The poster on forscan forum said that would change it to not equipped or disabled on first startup only.
Thanks, for the update and glad you it to your liking.

Apparently the config can be the following

x8xx - TPMS Enabled
x2xx - TPMS Disabled?
xAxx -?
xExx - TPMS not equipped?

That post on forscan forum was dead since September. I looked at it a few times before it clicked for me.

Change the 1800 to 1200 and then click on write.

That will disable the TPMS but will not get rid of the Instrument cluster light. I am still looking for that fix. In the meantime black electrical tape placed over the light will work.

If you change that second block 8 or a 2 to an E that will set the IPC to "Not Equipped with TPMS" and the IPC will never poll the module for the TPMS reading(the non AsBuilt configuration should have a drop down set of options for this too). This is how my 03 Eddie Bauer was set as it did not leave the factory with a TPMS module! If yours has a TPMS module it will still be there in the LH C Pliller under the trim behind the Left Rear door and will still be reading the tire sensors but the warnings will all be turned off!
