Floor soundproofing

Dear all
Did any one have done soundproofing the floor
I got a soundproofing mats with aluminum
and probably during the weekend i will put them in front part of the car (driver + pass)

As i made the research i need to unplug the battery and the i can start to take the chairs out

If any one have any exp in it i will be happy to get some tips

I've done it with some other vehicles, but not the Expedition. Watch out for the electrical plugs under seat (it's easy to miss one and rip it out) and be careful with the carpet trim clips.

I have done other vehicles, not my Expediton.

Ensure that you use a wood roller to push / smooth down the sound barrier sheets.

i'd be curious what your outcome will be. I have spent a lot of time putting sound deadening materials inside and out from about half way behind the second row all the way back, to help deaden my exhaust woes. I do think it's helped some, but even after doing multiple layers inside and out, it's still pretty bad. I've used 5mil and 8mil materials and have measured maybe 3-5db drop for exhaust noise. Most of that noise is behind the second row, so I haven't been trying to solve for say road noise alone. Honestly Al resonates so much worse than steel.

As everyone said, very easy project. Electrical harness is a good point - disconnect the harness, but also follow it down to the floor to make sure there isn't a xmas tree clip attached to the seat rail. I'm also curious how it turns out for you. The road noise is mostly ok to me, but exhaust noise could be better. I'm thinking about wrapping the muffler to see if it helps.
