Your definition of "hate" and my definition of "hate" are vastly different.

Aside from that...my daughter's 2017 Edge can be started remotely and then "started" by pushing the start button without stepping on the brake pedal. Have you tried that sequence?
I will try it since I usually use the remote for 5 minutes on cold mornings. I hear idling causes carbon build up due to direct injection so 5 is the max time I run it. Let's say hitting the brake in inconvenient.

First thing I do upon entering Tank is to hit the brake.....it reassures me that no one has broken into Tank and ripped off the brake pedal !!!!!!:rotflmao:

But it is in park no big deal.

Huh?

Accidental starting while working on an engine could be catastrophic for both the vehicle and person working on it. If your mechanic gets hurt as a result of the change then you are going to be held liable. . . Scenario, Tech is working on something in the engine and needs accessory power, asks someone to turn on accessory only power and instead its starts because its been bypassed injuring the tech working on your stuff, you will be held liable. . . So there's that. Think big picture.

Also you lose accessory power if you don't care, that's fine. . . .

HUH? I am starting to see why they did it and I imagine all vehicles have that feature, but I could do without the acc power and maybe put that elsewhere.
