Drive with two feet? I have family members who can trash any cars brakes in 2 months. I’m pretty sure they are touching the brake more than the go pedal
Number one weakness in the full sized rigs is lack of a rear locker. A big factor why I wanted one in my next full size.
My Sequoia getting stuck in some embarrassing spots ie no rear locker was for sure a huge factor.
Hell even 2wd with locker would have gotten through two spots my Sequoia...
When a repair isn’t done per the book and isn’t done correctly ie failure happens again yes dealers are 3rd party businesses they don’t magically all have skilled and well trained parts exchangers on staff given many dealers especially today don’t pay skilled mechanics enough to work at dealers...
Skip the dealer send Ford a direct message. Our Subaru dealers in our region are so bad the only way you can get warranty fixes done correctly is to tell Subaru directly and make sure the Area rep checks the work.
warranty work is typically a shop loss for the dealer especially if its a $400...
OP’s wife isn’t going to be towing or needing full power capacity hauling the kids to soccer practice.
My Toyota 4.7 required premium when doing anything other than low speed in town driving or it would rattle like a bucket of bolts. Owners manual stated 87 was fine but when under heavy loads...
Low speed neighborhood driving my 19 with 15,000 miles has a turbo whistle if you listen for it very normal. Our 1.8T vw was louder.
Normal stuff. Bet 50% of the complaints and dealer visits with these vehicles are for normal operating sounds lol. We have a huge population of vehicle owners...
Lots of electronic stuff in modern cars. First. 20k is the electronic honeymoon once the faulty stuff shakes out the numbers show issues are rare till high mileage. Thats why standard warranty is typically 36k.
My late 19 got a cast aluminum oil pan and some other tweaks the earlier 19’s didn’t have. Have had zero issues
Mid to late 19 would be ok but early 19’s were still 18’s regarding problem parts phasers, sun roof issues, plastic oil pans
My 2019 beats my Subaru on range! First truck I’ve had that can do 230+miles on a tank lol. I take it your on the Gulf and its your first time having a fuel shortage? Yeah us west coasters know a thing or two about that lol. I have a plugin EV/Hybrid too. Lol For a few reasons
I’m going with baked pad material causing high spots on your rotors. I have family members that can do that to any vehicle in a week or less♂️. Haven’t seen a braking system that fixes user error yet
If you want tougher rubber than the Michelins which wear fast in my hot summers look at the BFG Advantage Sports tougher rubber compound likely not as good in snow / ice but they were decent on my Sequoia in big snow. No question thats my next tire on my 22’s for the Exp..
BFG and Michelin come...
LoL so your the typical mini van buyer who bought a SUV? I mean most of us who buy these do so because we need a real truck. I needed real 4x4, locking rear diff, real ground clearance for the stuff we do. Yeah its actually a real truck not a mini van.
2001 Subaru Legacy GT manual 5spd, lake Tahoe trip to the Stanford Lodge. 187mph winds hit right after we arrived. Power goes out. That survival kit my wife always teased me about? Yeah we were warm got great sleep woke up to our toilet frozen lol. They fed everyone, we hung out all day trying...
Any idea what month yours was built? Not sure about the 19’s I have September build. It got some updates that the earlier 19’s don’t have. Like a cast Aluminum oil pan etc.
I think earlier builds have had lifter issues? That were loud at cold start. I also would be very careful with oil choice...
Same deal the pin not retracting and rattling?
My 19 so far has been fine. Granted between a $15k 5 month deer rebuild at 980 miles and Covid, I’m at 13,000 lol
Most people don’t even know when they have a flat tire even when the dash lights up. So yeah rear lockers toasted n this manner is likely a very common issue given button location
