there should be a "how-to" somewhere on here for the torsion bars. just use the search function on here and you should be able to find it. as for spacers and body lift, somebody will chime in. the spacers and torsion twist will be easy. the body lift will be a little bit of a PITA so make sure...
i cant imagine it came from the factory that way. it is VERY uncommon for a gasoline truck to come with a block heater. hell, lots of diesel's dont come with them stock. i grew up in michigan where we get a lot of the lake effect weather and i have never had a problem with my trucks and they ALL...
looks good. hard to believe you tucked those 35's under there with some 16x10's. that was the setup i had on my expy with a 4" susp lift and i still rubbed!
chances are, you have the 8.8 front and rear. the 9.75 axle should match up just fine but not all of them have the 3.73 gears. i have that axle with 3.55 gears. there is a little tag on the differential that will tell you the axle size (8.8 or 9.75) and will also tell you gear ration (3.55 or...
they did the body style chang ein 03. you would most likely only be able to go up to an 02 expy. you can also talk to an upholstery shop. i heard you can get them done for relatively cheap.
i would just do a simple 3" body lift or go with torsion twist and spacers. that will get you 33" tires. anything bigger than that, you would be better off getting a susp lift. pricewise, cheapest is torsion twist and spacers, followed by body lift, and then suspension lift.
im just hopin to get through xmas with money left in my pocket so i can do the BL and pick up some bigger tires!
98expy, what size tire you running? cuz you can fit a 35 under the truck. its a little tight but she fits up there. not exactly in the well but that is where i put my 35" spare!
i guess it depends on the code but it could throw something for starving the system of fuel. it has probably been awhile since the filter was changed so i would change the filter and then clear the code and see if it comes back.
im pretty sure they are the same. i would have to take a look at the front end but it attaches to the frame and the steering linkage which should all be the same...
well, finally got it installed. pain in the....had to "customize" the bracket a little because of the lift kit but other than that. one of the bolts going throught the lift kit was a biatch. thank god for PB and air tools!
