What kind of mechanic is this? KYB's are built different than the stock shocks. They are a twin tube design. Their gas chamber and valve body working area are just designed different. In the picture, your mechanic hasn't even taken the shipping strap off, or disassembled the stock shock to fit...
Can you get a small vacuum tube/hose into the void ? I've used a small shop vac with a small tube taped to the vacuum hose end and fished things out of tight spots like that.
.
Yeah, somebody has done a hack job on your system. You'll probably have to search for another '03 or '04 in a salvage yard that hasn't been butchered and pull from that. I don't know what else to tell you.
.
Does the other end of that line run down to the back side of your front hub ? To the hub engagement actuator for your 4x4 ? A previous owner probably just attached it to that bundle 'cause that's where it was laying. Should be up along the firewall connecting to a line coming over from the...
In your emergency road kit it's a good idea to carry a couple of 5/8" brass tee and barbed splice fittings. Or if you don't want to deal with replacing the entire hose assembly you can just replace the factory plastic piece with the brass piece and some hose clamps and never worry about it...
Front and rear ball joints are most common culprits. Especially if they're the original parts at that mileage. Take it to an alignment shop and let them look it over and give you estimates. The rear lowers are actually a big rubber bushing. They get soft with age and allow movement, and...
Is it a 4WD Expy ?
That's a previous owner's hack job.
Do you see a vacuum supply line ( hard plastic tube... ) going into the firewall just below the PCM computer ? You should see the hot water valve vacuum control line paired up sharing the same firewall grommet.
But whatever you have...
Pan out so we can see more of the engine bay. But that looks like the vacuum line off your hot water control valve there in the heater hose above the passenger side valve cover area.
.
As strange as it seems, yes, it is normal for smoke to pass through that vent hole in the EGR valve. It confuses a lot of people. You'll also notice some escaping from the idle air control valve vent.
.
They're all horrible ! Do you have a HVAC gauge set so you can check your system pressures ? Or, if nothing else get one of those Pro A/C kits from Walmart so you can at least see the low side pressure.
.
Yes, if you have dual zone climate control, the driver's side blend door actuator is located at the bottom of the HVAC box, just in front of the center console.
.
Generally speaking, they would have to prove that whatever you did contributed to the warranty issue. Routine maintenance, if done correctly, should not be an issue that would create any warranty problems.
.
Are you the original owner ? How many miles are on it ? How old is the fuel pump ? Can you do a fuel pressure test at the schrader valve on the fuel rail ? Should see 45-55 psi .
Looks more like your A/C evaporator exploded ....
The airbag module is all metal. It would blow out toward the passenger's face, and that airbag dash cover would be gone.
Who's your A/C man ? Your picture ...2104 looks like the evaporator has left the chat ....

Here's a link to the service manual for an '08 Expy. You should be able to find what you're looking for in the electrical wiring diagrams for the entertainment system. But you might find more responses to your issue posting in the 3rd Gen section. This section focuses on the 2nd Gen Expy.
2008...
It's buried in the circuit board in the middle of the box. "Non-Serviceable" unless you're really good at soldering on circuit boards. There are a few that have had success doing their own fusebox repairs, but they are the exception, not the rule. 99% require a fusebox replacement when that...
Yes, yours has the tow package. You'll find the plug for the brake module behind the right knee bolster, just look up under the dash. It'll have the heavy duty blue and red wires in it.

Oil coming out of them ? Like motor oil ? I'd send 'em back. Legit Ford rocker and followers are individually bagged, and clean, with just an anti-rust spray on them. No telling what you have there. Amazon is getting as bad as eBay. If you have a dealership nearby, maybe stop in their parts...
