I finally was able to fix my AC issue where it would stop blowing through the main front vents and switch to defrost vents. Shortly after the ac compressor seized. Whoever had this truck before me saw missing vacuum hoses and just connected everything they saw together. But now that I’m having the issue of the engine not shutting off with the key removed I started looking around to see if I damaged anything changing the compressor. I am an aircraft electrician and inspector so I went old school and just started looking all around to see if I could find anything else wrong. I found this vacuum hose just sticking up on the drivers side of the engine just below the air intake and next to the hoses for the power steering reservoir. I followed it and it goes to a Y connector where both vacuum hoses that come off the other side of the Y go down to what looks like something to do with the 4x4 which also does not work. (The 2 vacuum tubes that come from the solenoid were broken off completely which I replaced a week ago when I got all the HVAC vacuum lines fixed and corrected) so if anyone can please let me know what vacuum line in the picture circled is and where does it lead to I would greatly appreciate it.

Does the other end of that line run down to the back side of your front hub ? To the hub engagement actuator for your 4x4 ? A previous owner probably just attached it to that bundle 'cause that's where it was laying. Should be up along the firewall connecting to a line coming over from the control solenoid for the 4x4 system.

I will have to look in the morning. I had the truck jacked up and looked all around underneath then dropped it and looked from above and saw this hose. It’s super hot here in Florida and I absolutely didn’t want to jack it back up again lol. This is the third hose I found broken and just there without the rest of it there.

Here's the diagram for the 4wd vacuum harness. 3A785B is duplicated on the passenger side, just not shown in the diagram.

Awesome man that makes a lot of sense. It looks like another vent tube that looks like a broken tube like the other side has. Makes me feel better lol. Thanks for that diagram it definitely helped a lot.
