I'd be cautious doing this with an ecoboost motor due to the carbon that can break free and end up between the cylinder walls and pistons or worse in a turbo. Ford has warned against induction cleaning in the past.
I wonder if it's possible for mine which came with no DRLs if line 726-49-01 also needs to be changed to 01 at the end instead of 00. I'll try this when I get a chance in addition to changing the IPC line to bring up the option in the dash screen, activating the DRLs and then changing line...
You wouldn't want to do that. The reason multiple companies like WeatherTech and even the OEM Ford Deflector specify to stick the bumpers to the hood and not the deflector is on purpose.
If you stick the bumpers on the hood, they remain attached in the same location. If you install them on the...
Gave this a shot! Changed the IPC line to bring up the option in the dash screen, activated the DRLs and then changed line 726-49-02 and yet the dash option was still greyed out.
On another note, sure enough, touched the "-" button on the shifter and up popped the indicated transmission gear...
Was reading another thread in these forums and came across what would be a neat FORScan find. . .if the edit would even be supported. I have a 2015 and don't have the indicated gear display that I noticed in this post with the picture of the dash of a 2016 Expedition. . .
I'll compare the...
@AllBoostNoEco not sure if the '11-15' SSV Expeditions and Explorers had push-button start so perhaps maybe we don't have the firmware to support secure idle.
I'll try and play with the IPC line: 720-02-01 **X* **** ** to see if any other combinations besides '8' and 'C' do anything to activate...
From the manual:
Entering four-wheel-down towing
1. Put the ignition in the on position:
• If your vehicle has an ignition key, turn the key to on. Do not start the engine.
• If your vehicle has intelligent access, press the engine START/STOP button twice without pressing the brake pedal. Do...
It's an oil separator lol. It's not going to hurt your warranty unless you have a dealer that plays hardball. If that's the case and for piece of mind for all those gung-ho about losing the warranty -- if you have to bring it in for warranty work, spend the 5 min and take it off.
Ford did away with the gas caps a number of years ago. The cap-less easy fuel system works fine and seals once you pull the gas nozzle out. The Locking Plug does nothing as far as sealing goes. Rather it's used to prevent someone from putting something unwanted in your gas tank. I have one and...
I'd say try to figure out how to enable the cluster controlled DRLs. We can turn the DRLs on/off from FORScan and activate the dash option for "Daytime Lights" but we still have yet to figure out the last variable of "un"-greying out the option in the dash.
The other feature I have been...
Just an update -- after running some tests and providing the results to the FORScan team, they confirmed that there is no Driver's Door Module or Passenger's Door Module in the Expedition and speculated that their functions are implemented in the BdyCM.
I don't have Nivomat Shocks but they are a self contained unit and should swap in place of your traditional rear shocks no problem. If however, you have the CCD (Continuously Controlled Damping Suspension which was paired with the 22" wheels), then converting to the Nivomats would be more...
Hmm, I certainly suppose that's possible. I'll have to pay more attention now on the road for XLTs to see if they have DRLs activated.
I'm not sure about the HDC. I don't have it since mine is a 2wd truck but I do know there is a physical button for it to the right of the steering wheel. Do you...
Oh this is very interesting, but maybe explainable. With the F150 guys, for the 2015 MY, trucks built before April had the Heated/Cooled Seat icons on the touchscreen and those after April did not have the icons on the screen. For whatever reason Ford decided to change the IPC line to remove the...
Interesting. Did you purchase your truck new or used? I'm assuming it's used. If it is a U.S. truck then it shouldn't come with the "Daytime Lights" option in the cluster and this would indicate someone played with FORScan on it prior to you owning it. If it is new however, then that would make...
@chuck s You are correct. Sirius TravelLink is a subscription service where you can pay each month to get satellite traffic updates, gas prices, movie times etc. By enabling Navigation in Motion, you are removing the option for Sirius Travel Link. Basically you are changing the country code from...
I see where the confusion comes in with the part numbers. You can't use Ford Parts to check. Parts are only listed with the middle number, not the prefix or the suffix which specifies the application. The middle number that Ford shows for parts on their websites specifies the type of part. In...
My bad. Fixed my typo for the part numbers. One ends in -C and one ends in -B.
If you look in the 2015 Towing Guide, you will see. I added an arrow to point this out.
The gearing isn't an issue. Ford specs the same towing rating regardless of gear, be it 3.15, 3.31 or 3.73. Granted 3.73s, I'm sure will get your trailer moving more quickly though.
As far as the radiator goes, the one included on trucks without the towing package and the one included with the...
I've also been compiling working changes for the Expedition (at least my 2015) here in this spreadsheet. I used the F150 sheet created by Livinitup as a template and have added line changes both myself and others have found to work within this thread. I listed credit in the last column to the...
The only other changes I found between my Expedition (Blue Text) and a Canadian Expedition (Green Text) in the BdyCM are shown here:

Not sure why the differences in 726-43-01. I played with changing them and didn't observe any...
I came to the same conclusion with IPC 720-05-01 regarding taking away options but never adding "Climate" to the menu screen.
@AllBoostNoEco that's odd about your DRLs. Is you truck a U.S. vehicle?
In regards to DRLs, I figured out how to bring up the "Daytime Lights" option on the left dash...
