    my new truck!

Welcome. I've driven some Chevy's that belonged to family and friends...and especially when it comes to the trucks and SUV's, it is my belief that the Fords run, ride and feel more solid. Maybe it's just a preference but it's based on experience.

    Hard Start

I've never had spark plug issues but from reading experience, on these Ford, modular motors (4.6 and 5.4), it is best to use the Motorcraft plugs...or if you are running a supercharged/turbo'd application, the Lightning, iridium plugs from Motorcraft. Just about all other kinds and brands are...

    gas mlg

You're fooling yourself. A larger rotating mass (tires and wheels) will decrease your mileage and throw off your speedometer, which is also manifested in the changes in the tach that you mentioned.

    gas milage and overall performance

You'd definitely want someone with experience in tuning. Not a wrench-turner, but almost a computer scientist and programmer with access to good tuning software. Some performance shops have guys that can do this.

Heh...heck, I didn't know. I don't have all the new fangled stuff in ours.

    gas milage and overall performance

I'm sure there are plenty of mods out there, but the biggest thing is to keep your foot our of it. Stay less than 2000 rpms. A good tune will help out too, with those things.

    Nav disc

As of right now, 54 people have read the post. I guess that means we all don't have what you're asking for. BTW, what's a "nav. disc"? What does "nav." stand for??

    New excursion!

I bet it is powerful compared to your little 4.6.

    "Kenny Browned"

IIRC, you'll have to really dig for that info from secondary sources. I think that Kenny Brown is no longer in business....or that kind of business anyway. I could be wrong though... That is a real sweet truck though!

    That's outrageous.

    Rear springs...Overload, leveling, etc

Why does it sit low in the rear? I wouldn't think that just having a bike carrier would sag it very much at all.

    iPods

You know, we bought this cheap, tape adapter and it works great. Was about $10. It's the tape shaped cartridge with a wire coming out one side and the wire is a plug for the Ipod. Otherwise, you can spend a lot of money getting an adapter installed.

Front diff, gear oil seal is leaking, How do i replace it

Oh...my bad. I didn't look at the picture hard enough. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if that seal is accessible. I would think that you would want to be real careful and putting the new seal in (if in fact you can) so that it won't leak again. Maybe someone else will chime in...

Front diff, gear oil seal is leaking, How do i replace it

Unless you have the tools to set up the gears after replacing the seal, I'd suggest dropping it off at a differential shop and having them fix it. Messing with drive gears is a very exact process. You don't wanna mess that up by just doing it yourself to save money. Trust me....

    Which trans?

Yep. 20 bolts. I had my pan off just a little over a week ago. I put in a drain plug!

    Water injection

Yep. Devices that cool intake temps (charge temp) only have a real effect on blown or turbo'd engines. What you will prolly want is nitrous...as long as it's not a big shot.

Do you have a blown or turbo'd truck?

    bat. light

A serpentine belt removal kit?!?! Just use a 1/2" socket wrench in the tensioner pulley. Also, you gotta be smart about getting alternators from parts stores. They are reman's and are somewhat hit and miss.

    ram air intake

Ram air is a misnomer on street vehicles. "Cold air" would be the proper term that you would use. Ram air assumes that you will be spending your time above 100 mph. That's how fast you'd need to go in order to see any minuscule air compression...that assumes it's a well designed system. A...
