Hard shift at WOT

I've had this since I've owned the truck but never really did anything about it and have been wondering if anyone has had the same. If I go WOT or close to it when it shifts it shifts very hard and usually gives of a squeal that sounds like a belt slipping. I assumed it was just a tranny problem and it never really got worse or better so kinda left it. any ideas will help thanks.

Are those easily replacable, or require a tranny takedown?

Not real easy. I've done them on my Thunderbird but it's a fiasco.
