Cabin filters were introduced around 2000. So not such a new thing.
My 2010 Oddy had one. My 2008 ES350 has one. In fact, I was quite surprised to discover my 2017 Expedition doesn't have one.
RSC is pretty amazing. Gets in the way though if you deliberately try to drift through a corner. I know, you're not supposed to do that, but sometimes I just want to have some fun in the snow.
I watched a video of a guy who's F150 was experiencing similar problems to the OP. For quick temporary fix he pulled the electrical connector to the VCT solenoids. Truck was able to run but obviously threw a code because the system disconnect.
So many things can cause rough idling. Kind of surprise no light has popped up since the truck stalls. Maybe check to see if the computer has any pending codes stored.
So if you lock the doors and walk away with the key not in your pocket does the horn go off? How are you locking the door? Using the fob? The keypad? The lock button inside the door? Inquiring minds want to know :-)
BTW, I don't think the Expedition will auto-unlock when approaching with the...
The link above is if you have two programmed fobs. AFAIK, there's no way to do it with only one fob. Went through this rigmarole around Christmas because one of our fobs got stolen while my wife was on a business trip (she didn't take the truck but some reason took the keys. Sigh) Anyway, I...
At the back of the head unit there should be an antenna lead. It's possible it's loose or became disconnected. I've never pulled the head unit on an Expedition so not sure how to do it. I'm sure there are instructions somewhere around or a video on YouTube or something.
I have the BLIS system in '17 and find it almost useless. I light will illuminate in the side mirror indicating a car is in your blind spot. Unfortunately I have a lot of false positives in winter thanks to the large snow banks along the roads. Even in summer I get false positives for one reason...
I always thought that if you were going to get the undercoating done you had to do it almost immediately after the car left the dealership. I.e. the car had to be almost brand new. Otherwise you'd just be covering up any rust that has accumulated over the years and it will still be a problem.
Gah! Somebody hit my rear bumper and squished the right corner real good. This was in a parking lot at the arena where my son was playing hockey. Of course they didn't leave a note or anything.
I have this with my vehicle too. Stopped at a light facing uphill and hill was quite steep. When the light went green and I let go the brake, the truck rolled back until I hit the gas. Scared me a bit and I was lucky no one was behind me. I just learned to goose the gas pedal before fully...
It's based on your driving style, driving conditions and miles. 2500 does seem short though. Was the oil life indicator reset after the last oil change?
Yeah. So talked to the dealership and confirmed I need the two original keys to program a third unless I go to them. Sigh. So ordered a new key and booked an appointment for Friday to get everything setup.
Thanks for the responses. @AllBoostNoEco , what's an admin key? I still have one of the two original keys/fobs would one of these be an admin key? Thanks.
My wife was traveling this week and her rental got broken into and stuff got stolen, including her fob key for the truck. This one is the keyless entry kind. Truck also has the factory remote start
What's my best option to get this fixed? Going to the dealer or is it possible to get a new fob...
