    You can remove the EGR system, but you will get a check engine light. I do know that you can get a tuner to turn off the light if you ever get a custom tune for the vehicle. It's possible a handheld tuner may be able to do it too, but not sure.

    Same here! I finally got to mine on Wednesday. First time I actually have washed it all winter, however I have rinsed it off a couple of times to get all the salt and junk off of it. I forgot how good it looked under all of that crap! lol.

    The method of programming the buttons depends on what type of garage door opener you have....ie. is is a rolling code opener or a fixed code. I don't have the instructions handy at the moment, but i think the link above will help.

    Does it sound like a whine? Since it only happens while accelerating, it sounds like it could be the rear differential. If the gears inside aren't adjusted properly, you get the "rear-end" whine that can be common. Typically it isn't too loud, but if your's is, you may need new gears.

    Without actually hearing the noise, it will be difficult for a diagnosis. If you just bought it at a Ford dealer, I would take it back ASAP. They usually have some kind of warranty for 30 days or 1000 miles that will cover any issue that comes up.

    Can plastic be powdercoated? I believe the chrome-clad wheels have a plastic cover that has the chrome finish, so it probably won't hold a good charge when the powder is applied.

    At nearly 70K miles, one cop has been replaced, and I have the original tires (I think since I bought it at 27K). Heated seat started to act a little strange today so I will have to keep an eye on it. Other than that, it needs new shocks. I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

    Welcome. Sorry to hear about your issues, but once the plugs are all replaced, and the suspension repaired, it sounds as if you'll be good to go. BTW, how much did they charge you for plug replacement?

    My guess is misfire due to COP or plug. Code will tell you which cylinder P030x with the x being the cylinder #.

    I never knew there were a set of front switches for the third row seats. Our 2006 doesn't have them.

    You're better off interrupting the power to the fuel pump. I don't think the inertia switch can be tripped by pressing the button. That is just a reset in case it gets tripped in an accident.

    2006 Expedition 5.4 Engine Fail Safe

    I had it happen about a month ago. From what I have read, it is related to the throttle body. I do believe the TPS is built-in to the 3V throttle bodies so you have to replace the whole thing. I'm not saying yours is definitely that, but I have read it happen on F150's.
