I found it quicker than I thought I would. I put it on your profile page too but just in case others were interested in what I was talking about, figured I would post it here like I said I would. JTKustoms was the one who...
I don't think they do. I remember seeing a member that had done it to their door switches, and they needed to drill and wire themselves. I can't remember who it was off the top of my head, but as soon as I think of it or come across the album, I will post it up here.
He outlined his whole...
I think it means that the TPMS is not reading between the computer and tire sensor. Have you checked the tire pressure lately? I understand from your other thread that the truck is not moved much.
Yeah its a good thing if you serviced it. 5000 or 6 months is what I live by, but I always hit 5000 before the 6 month mark. I would also recommend driving it around the block until it warms up. You don't want flat spots in the tires or dry parts of the suspension.
Also not sure if you...
Personally I wouldn't gut all 4, otherwise you will have a check engine light. Gut the two big ones (regular looking ones), or even better cut them out and place straight pipe in their place. They are worth about 150 bucks apiece due to the precious metals inside.
However that is comparable...
The bar that leads to my driver's side key cylinder has been broken for years. I had trouble with the same type of thing where it would sometimes get caught in the regulator. I ended up duct taping it down inside the door to just keep it still and has been fine since.
I tried to get the...
I don't know if its any easier since you still have to get it to fit and seal right. Not to mention match the rest of the parts and not look cobbled together. It certainly is an option though, that's all a CAI consists of is a pre-fitted plastic tube with the necessary holes and cut-outs.
Also could try and call the company that makes the remote starter. They would know how their product bypasses the PATS and may have troubleshooting advice.
Like Lightnig said, you most likely have an open diff. In that situation, the torque energy takes the path of least resistance. If each tire is on a different surface (with different friction properties) the torque all goes to the side easiest to turn, in this case the one on ice.
What...
That's a good point about 4L. I didn't think about the torque multiplication on slippery surfaces. I have never used 4L in the winter but we also don't have much elevation change in unless you go to the SE area of the state. Bad info on my part haha.
I agree also that the chains would not...
Why not just buy a 220A alternator new and be done with it? You are correct in assuming that your stock one is around 130A. I think all alternators are going to list their output on the box they come in. Talk to an audio shop, I can guarantee they would have something like that with a direct...
I've done this a few times, but you can get the door panel off in about 10 minutes and it really isn't too much work. Screw in the courtesy light recess, screw behind the triangle trim piece, take the small trim off the interior door handle, unplug window button panel, and unplug mirror switch...
I've used my truck to tow a lot of stuff, and never had a problem with not having air-ride. As far as I can tell, air ride is just more effective at keeping the rear end from squatting and therefore lessening the chance of bottoming on hard bumps at speed. Never had that happen though. Focus...
The reason I like the indicator light is because it tells me the magnetic clutch in the transfer case has power. No light means something is wrong. Still without the light, you would know the clutch is off since you would be basically driving in rear wheel drive haha.
