Do a search for wheel by the user @Fozzy. He has explained his setup a few times... He is running 20s and the Ready Lift setup. Since you have an xlt you might want to check out the Bilstein setup as well. The upgraded shocks are a big help, especially since the fail rate on factory non acc...
@sanman28
I look forward to seeing them! I had considered going bronze or copper as well. Instead I decided to keep the truck black and paint the calipers red and I have red rings for the flex lights for a touch of color.
@Artie
Yup... Looking forward to getting some
pillow tires/proper...
Found a set locally that are not perfect but have practically new tires. I was planning on powder coating them satin black anyway. Will most likely do the chrome delete to match so I leave at least some contrast.
Might need to start a new thread. This guy is running 2wd but said camburg makes extended axles... At first glance it looks like gen1 raptor suspension works on 11th gen F150 with some trimming and extended brake lines...
Yeah, aftermarket companies that change suspension geometry via brackets etc are a hard no in my book. Their r&d department is not something I want to put my life on the line for. Not only do they look horrible imho, all they are doing is lifting the center of gravity to allow for bigger tires...
@302Xplorer
Can the shutters be removed without cutting or do you have to cut them out? I too am curious how pissy the computer gets if it can't see that it's there.
Is the primary function of the shutters to block wind coming through the bumper for mileage/wind coefficient? I can't imagine...
@rjdelp7
Feel free to start a new thread and tag the wolf... That way you can bench race all you want and not prevent what could be a very useful thread to the readers of this forum.
Also if you frame things as a question instead of combative arguments you will get better information out of...
@LGE_CTS_motors
Wow they haven't updated the mounting points in over 10 years!? So not even the gen1 stuff will work?? Uuugh.... That is a MAJOR let down...
I know you guys have a good relationship with Icon. Any news on the CCD defeat/shock replicators?
Wish list... hmmmm
Any chance raptor UCAs, LCAs, tie rods and axles will bolt right up? If so fenders that will stuff 35s would be icing on the cake! We can all dream... Who doesn't need 13" of travel?? Raptigator… :naughty::Big Laugh:
Until then... I can't wait to see what you guys are...
How about we make a copy/pasteable fine print we put on every post about engine mods. What are we an advertising agency with a legal department? C'mon man... I equate this to more of a back yard with a camp fire shooting the... well you get the picture. If you are a big enough nerd* to search...
One thing that confuses people a bit when using Bluetooth is that it is a digital connection and needs to be treated differently than a standard aux input.
The easiest way I can think to describe it is we were always taught to never keep an aux input at 100% because sound quality will diminish...
Sorry for so many questions and we are definitely glad you guys are here and doing so much for us and this platform!!
Curious what you mean by no loss of performance? So you didn't see a change in IATs when beating on it? Obviously day to day usage staying out of boost will not be effected...
@rjdelp7 Cool.
@LokiWolf don't feed the trolls...
He must be starved for attention at home and needs to feel good about himself somewhere. I've never seen someone so concerned about someone else's buying decisions. Could you imagine ordering a beer in front of this guy? :cheers:
It's their custom skid/bumper setup... Looks killer. Especially with the custom flares. I'm curious if you guys swapped intercoolers or did any testing before/after putting the flex lights in the lower inlet? I know @Fozzy is interested in that pro6 light bar up top. Do you ever run it with...
Wow, :cheers:
Great work!! Super clean install... Thank you for answering my question about the mounting plate. Did the loom come with the kit or did you have to buy it separate?
Honestly if it were me I'd put the brightest thing you can find in the bumper and see if you still want more...
@S Mathieson
Are you not worried about blocking your intercooler? You might want to keep any eye on intake temps now that it's getting hot. Hope you don't do much towing.
Has anyone found the HI beam signal wire? Or know where to look? Are Haynes manuals still a thing? I'm sure there is a...
Yeah,
I have yet to get my amateur license... I mostly just listen but I will say the range is necessary when doing group high speed off road driving.
I was going to try and mount a radio where the CD player is but I just discovered a "headless" radio that uses BT and an app to program the...
I have been thinking about this for about a week now and the other thread about what to do around the temp sensor sparked my memory...
What if the circular part of the trailer steering control were magnetic? That seems like a great place for a phone, especially on the Navi because it is...
Guess I'll have to fire up the power washer this weekend and get some fresh plastidip... These will have to do until I can grab a cheap set of '19-20 beadlocks...
If the truck has 22s it's standard. They are adjustable and that is nice to have but they are not what I would call confidence inspiring. I see a sway bar in my future...
I have to say the Germans had this figured out years ago... Audi calls it Black Optic.
Well done Freddy! The black out makes it look more sleek and modern. I have never been a fan of chrome but sometimes touches of brushed can be a nice accent. Time to start watching YouTube...
