Running board lightsStock yellowish light to brite white
Let us know how they look...but one word of warning...I have seen on the other boards some people complain that the brighter (and higher wattage?) bulbs burn/discolor the plastic lens. Hope that does not happen to you!- rwinch

oil change
One other way to look at it is.......it won't hurt to change it more often...other than time and money. I do agree with jt, between 3k and 5k is fine. I will go one step further and say that the oil filter should be changed as often as the oil. Some folks skip one or two changes (???). Fram also...- rwinch

Rear hatch gate defeat switch
Thanks, but it actually has to go along the rear pillars, and not cut power, but mimic the closed status of both the rear window switch and door latch. What I have to do is figure out which side has the harness, the color code of the wires, and then put in a switch to simulate the door switches...- rwinch

Rear hatch gate defeat switch
Has anybody put a rear hatch gate defeat switch into a '98? When I am tailgating or at the beach, etc., I like to have the hatch open, but ALL the lights come on and I have drained the battery a couple of times. I now just pull fuse #14 out from the interior fuse box, but that is just a pain. I...- rwinch

How do you remove the door panels?
I have one of those service manual CD's (got it from Ebay). It shows that there is also a screw under the door panel light at the bottom. Pull the light cover and you will see it. Of course, this is for my '98, but they should be the same......- rwinch

I agree with kschaper, cermics are great with the low dusting. I used Raybestos brand. Unfortunately, while working great with the '98 EB alone, I found them slightly lacking in stopping power when fully loaded and pulling a trailer. I also changed to Brembo rotors at the same time (OEM type...- rwinch

fuel mileage
I usually get anywhere from 11.5 to 14.5 (5.4 Triton). I don't really concern myself about mileage...you shouldn't when you buy a large heavy truck (you knew it would be bad when you bought it)..... but, after 70,000 miles I have noticed a least one thing, it gets better maileage in warm...- rwinch
