    Big green, You can keep the gear ratio. You just need a D44 or D60 with the same ratio. Transfer case doesn't need to change either. You will have to get a new front driveshaft that is the correct length. But if you're going that high you're probably going to have to lengthen the rear as well.

    Just pop them out and move on. Keep the engine tuned and fresh there shouldn't be any extra pollution. I know people that have wicked modified cars without cats and still pass the Jersey sniffer year after year. They keep up on regular maintenance and everything is good.

    Odd Feeling

    I would say check your ball joints, tie rods and other steering joints. Use a prybar and see if you have any movement. If you can see it moving, its probably bad.
