2001 Expedition EB trans problems

Nevermind the Expy I was looking at is sold.

I have looked through the service manual to see if I could find any information for you.
Looked under transfer case and also transmission. Only thing I could come up with is there may be codes that would come up to indicate problems but also I would think if the transmission has to be shifted manually that the problem would be in the transmission and not the transfer case. (Maybe a valve)
I may be wrong as I am not all that experienced in transmission/transfer case problems

but if the price was right and it wouldn't cost much to repair it could have been a good deal
