You should def be getting more then 8mpg even if you are city driving. I would recomend a FULL tune up and all fluid changes. No reason why you are only getting 8mpg so its something to think about. I have a 99 EB 5.4 have it for 6 yrs now with 157k miles and i still get 16-19mpg hwy driving...
This is something ive been wondering myself. I have the same wear on the drivers seat from getting in and out of the truck. If anyone has taken the truck to an upholestry shop to get the seat re done what was the cost? Im just basically trying to get an idea if its worth it or just opt for seat...
It's best that if you want anynone to try and help you, well dont be an ass. They simply needed more info on what you did and all they did was ask. No reason to get snippy towards them.
The factory amp is located on the rear passenger side of the truck where the 3rd row seat is. Easiest way to find it is look for the jack compartment. Once you find that then that whole plastic piece needs to come off so you can gain access to the amp.
Looks like you are posting the web link for ur pic instead of the IMG code. Try the code that starts with [IMG] it should post ur pic without the weblink.
The most common with the air ride are the air bags themsleves. One way to eliminate this is to convert the entire system or find out which airbag has the leak and replace it. Eventually the air compressor will burn out from running too much since its trying to keep the truck level more then usual.
1st couple of things i always do when i buy a used vehicle is complete tune up and all fluid changes since there is no actual way of knowing when the previous owner had them done unless they kept all paperwork which is rare. This way YOU know at exactly what time when service is due. As for the...
When the site got hacked i admit fist hand it sucked.... half the time you couldnt log in or even navigate at all. Most of the members we had back then left when site got screwed up or stopped even trying to log in. When the new owner took over the site and upgraded the site (like i have been...
Im pretty sure there was a TSB on this exact problem... You can go to any local dealer and have them checked the history to see if this was done. If it wasnt done they are obligated to do the TSB at no cost to you.
There really isnt a need (yet) for an interior forum.. 99% of members who are registered are looking for interior parts to buy which can be found in the for sale sections.
I bought mine off eBay years ago. There are projector lights that came with the clear corner lens as well. Had them for about 5 years now but they have turned "yellow" over the years. I plan to replace them with HID soon though.
Pic is in my sig... if you need a blown up version let me know.
This is a must have for anyone who works on their trucks.
I used to work for an aviation compamy and once a week we would have the mac truck/snap on tool guy stop by with a bunch of stuff they were selling. They did have these at one point but i dont recall the price on it, and it was only...
In your other pic about something not being grounded, that looks correct.
I would remove the cover piece that says "battery" if i remember correctly in goes in that area. Ill take a peek at my truck later today, i have some engine bay cleaning to do :(
Are you asking about the coils under the black plastic piece that says 5.4 triton? these trucks dont use the old "distributor cap" type ignition anymore.
Pull off the black plastic piece, you will see the coils for each cylinder there.
When you replaced the battery, did you hook up the positive wire last?
Might sound petty but sometimes things get screwy, its possible you shorted the heating element in the seat.
