Thanks for the heads up. I have read that before when i had the ticking noise, all i did was change the oil myself and it went away so my guess is that walmart used a different thickness.
$95 bucks an hour is a little excessive.. The going rate is around 55-65 bucks an hour. Now for the alternator... i dont think thats true. I upgraded my alternator to a powermaster alternator (200amp) and never got a check engine light.
In case some of you haven't noticed i have added 2 new sections to the board. They are New member introductions (under announcements) and Test your sig and pics (off topic section)
Im still trying to get the latest version of the software for this board but i havent had alot of time recently...
Welcome to the forum! I've been keeping an eye on you since you registered (saw your profile) and i was wondering when you would make your first post :D
That's correct. I was at Walmart yesterday just browsing through the auto department and i some code readers for $65 bucks. They were NOT the kind that tell you what the problem is but it did show you the code.
Yes cats can be had on eBay for around 60-90 bucks from what i've seen. Here is a...
I dont have an 03 but i would say no it's not normal unless everything is starting to wrong with the vehicle. If you are spending $500 every 2 months then its costing you $3,000 a year in repairs... something is not right. On my 99 i hit 133,xxx miles yesterday and havent had a major repair yet...
If your check engine light came on again, take it to autozone and have them check what code it's throwing out, this way you will know exactly what it is and what to fix/replace so that you dont have to dump all this money. I hit 133k yesterday and my biggest problem to date was that i had to...
I had the same thing happen to me in my 99 Expy but for me it was the brake pads themselves were warped ( they were brand new from autozone) so i took them back, got another complete set and it all went away.
If you want a true HID kit it will come with balasts not regualr bulbs but you will need to know the bulb type (number) usually its 9007
Heres a link to a true HID system. and its all plug n play...
The kit wasnt that expensive. I got it off ebay BRAND NEW for $695 total. Shipping was a bit pricey ($145) cause it ships by freight in one big box. I also bought some fenders too :D
this is what the kit looks like...
Well i finally received my body kit after months and months of it being on order. I got it yesterday and today i've been sanding it and getting it ready for primer over the weekend. I will post some pics when im finished with the primer, then its time for a test fit on the Expy :D cant wait.
Take the cover off around the door handle if i remember correctly there's a screw there (gold) There is also a screw on the bottom of the door panel where the light is. Pop off the lens cover GENTLY and remove screw. After that all you have to do is carefully remove the door panel. I always...
I would have to guess yes. Since the bolt is missing on that side there is probably alot of play on that side since the bolt isn't there to keep it snug. But thats just my opinion, cant really say for sure.
How high/low is it idling? If the throttle is out of adjustment it will trigger the CEL and that will also cause hesitation on acceleration. To adjust the throttle ther's a screw on the throttle body. When the setting of the screw if within limits (about 700-900 rpms the CEL will turn off and it...
The amp for the stock sub is in the same enclosure but you have to pull that whole piece to get to it.
This is what the amp looks like.
A friend of mine who has an expy, his sub ddint work either but in his case the wiring harness that plugs into the amp was unplugged. We plugged it...
Hands down a supercharger. Granted it cost a few thousand to get one (unless you find a used one on eBay) but its the most cost efficient (in my opinion) Yes you could get headers, exhaust, cams but after spending all that it will probably be close to 2k if not more and you wont have anywhere...
