I'm going to reply to myself bacause I remembered this thread from the time I posted on page 9....I see something has happened and my picture is no longer visible... so here it is again:
I thought I was only going to have to pull it 8 miles but the camper rental place moved and it was more...
I hate to say this, but I have seen hundreds of air suspension questions asked on this forum and none of them have really been addressed. The responses you get will be to replace the air suspension with springs and shocks.
If you have or can get a repair manual there are some pretty detailed...
1998 Lincoln Navigator 5.4l
Codes P0171 and P0174 are present...Freeze Frame data shows it occurred at high RPM and not at idle.
I am actually using a Bluetooth OBD Scanner and the TORQUE program on Android.
Cleaned the MAF. It didn't look dirty.
The Fuel Pressure Reading on the...
Don't buy the pads before you do an inspection. My pads looked like new, but I had to replace the adjusters that were rusted up. This was in Texas, where things don't rust too much. This was at about 170000 miles too.
Amazon Warehouse Deals has TAN and BLACK husky Liners for ~$15 per pair. At this time it looks like one Black Pair and one TAN pair, so it's first come first served. I almost pulled the trigger on the TAN and then though....eh...my carpets already trashed. :happy107:
They say the packaging is...
Door sticker tells you what transmission it left the factory with. Bet it's 4r100 with May build. Highly unlikely someone changed transmission model since. Would require electrical changes too. There is a letter code in the last row. My e4od is code E
I have a 98 Navigator with a build date in 11/97 and it is the E40D. I'm guessing since the sticker is gone you don't know the month it was built? Maybe you could check carfax or autocheck to see when yours was first registered?
I'm pretty sure the E40D was early in the model year and the 4R100...
I went to the local ford dealer for an oil change last year because my least favorite quicky lube place didn't have my filter and the price is about the same.
They did the recall without saying anything to me. Which, I don't really have a problem with.
The next day the alternator died(200+...
I have a 1st Gen but I saw this and thought it might be helpful to someone here in the future using the search function:

While we are adding. Here is how I did my AUX input and disabled the CD Changer. Though I saw a thread somewhere about putting in a multi conductor switch to be able to switch back and forth. I don't use the CD Changer anyway...
Changed my range sensor because the navigator would not start and I was constantly jerking around with the gear selector to try to get it to start. The shaft on the transmission that the sensor slides over was extremely rusty on mine and it took lots of force to get the old one off. I had to use...
Ok... XLT . EB or Navigator. Talk about loaded. I know this is the expy forum but why not consider the Navigator. Prices are the same for all at this point.
Limited slip rear and front(I think) heavy duty towing. Oil cooler, tranny cooler, vent windows open, leather, all the bells and whistles...
This sounds like an excellent idea. I was trying to figure out how to hover over the engine. Anyone ever take the front wheels off and drop the front end down low?
I suppose you could cut it out and use adapters and clamps. You might rent the 'pipe expander' from the auto parts store so you expand the pipes but I think it might not work well. I used one when I did mine to re-expand the pipe where the clamp had squashed the pipe. It did take forever with...
How complete of a front end are you talking about? Frame bits and radiator support? I have shipped things to Switzerland before through the post office but, I believe that core support is too big. I'm sure I could find you some rust free parts here in Texas.
Me too! And I was going to buy an Actron CP9580A but it was cheaper to buy the bluetooth module AND an Inexpensive Samsung Tablet! So...I got 2 toys in one!
