I don't know how I feel about that front end. I do wonder though if those headlights will be able to be retrofitted into my '08, they appear to be the same size.
As for the interior, I was hoping for a new dash with soft touch material but I'm glad its finally getting MyFord Touch since it was...
What are your thoughts on replacing the bulbs in your fog lights with yellow ones?
I seem to remember a few special Explorer models coming with yellow fogs and have read online that they provide better visibility in actual fog than the standard white bulbs.
Has anyone done this, pros/cons?
Thank you for the information! I was unaware that any Expedition came with skid plates.
I was only able to find a front and fuel skid plate for your VIN. Ill have to keep looking for the t-case.
The front is part number: 5D032
The fuel is part number: 9A147
After driving this thing in a few more snow storms including the one that is currently going on in Michigan that is dumping 4 inches I have concluded that its 80% tires and 20% sub-par traction control system.
The more I read into AdvanceTrac and the more I relate what I have read to real...
No, I will say after driving this weekend in more snow/slush I will say that the ABS sensation and operation is 100% completely different from any other vehicle I have driven. While it works, it is very mild and at low speeds I don't think that it does actually engage at all. I was able to get...
I am really loving my BFG Rugged Terrians. It was between those and a set of Goodyear Wranglers ATS. I went with the BFG's because I wouldn't get the other in time for my annual hunting trip to SoDak.
I was running Bridgestones before that and for an All-Season tire they did very good in the...
What year F-150 skid plates will fit on a 2008 Expedition?
If I do recall the fuel tank already has one but nothing up front. I'm assuming that an '04-'09 F-150 skid plate will fit?
Thanks!
I completely agree! But these were my immediate comparisons. I have driven FWD cars, RWD only trucks (that Ranger taught me how to drive in the winter!) and had never experienced anything like that ABS lockup except for when I was driving our '84 F-150 that didn't have ABS.
This might seem like an odd question to ask here but I figured I will anyways. So the wife just got a new '14 Grand Cherokee Limited with the Quadra-Trac II 4WD system. I have the opportunity to take it out in some snow last night and was very disappointed in it.
Let me start by giving the...
haha no, the only time I have done it was when I was attempting to back a trailer into my back yard and forgot to turn it off before I pulled back onto the street. One of those moments when you're like "whats that sound... oh yah I'm still in 4 High."
Has anyone retrofitted a power inverter into their Expedition? I'm looking at two possible places to wire one. Either in the rear cargo area where the current cigarette lighter is or possibly in the center console in the rear where there is the cut out for where the rear seat radio goes (since I...
Pretty much anything 2007+ will work, just match interior colors. King Ranch will not work (unless that is what you have) but everything else should be the same.
I do not have this problem when the truck is in 4 Auto, but when in 4 High if I am on dry pavement there is a binding sound coming from the front tires whenever I am turning (obviously because it IS binding).
I have never had this problem in 4 Auto though.
Sounds about right. If I start my Ex in the winter and leave it takes about a mile and a half down the road before any air starts blowing if I have it in the 'auto' position. My Fusion was like that as well.
I washed the beast yesterday in 5* temps (had to get all the salt off). Anyways I have to use power fold mirrors to get it into the garage and be able to actually get out of it. Anyways long story short I went to deploy the mirrors this morning on my way to work after exciting the garage and the...
I'm looking into getting some F-150 chrome tow hooks for my Expedition and was wondering what years would work. When looking at the Ford parts catalog that any late model F-150 should work just fine.
Also did any F-150's actually come with a hook instead of a solid loop?
Thanks.
