Yellow fog light bulb replacement?

What are your thoughts on replacing the bulbs in your fog lights with yellow ones?

I seem to remember a few special Explorer models coming with yellow fogs and have read online that they provide better visibility in actual fog than the standard white bulbs.

Has anyone done this, pros/cons?

I've done it. Then again, mine are HIDs. I replaced my foglights with 3000k bulbs which burn yellow. I really like it.

I did it on my Mazda - LOVE the look of the HIDs with the Amber bulbs.

Thanks! I'll never sell it; was the only car I purchased new. Was torn between that one, a 04 GTO, and an 01 Audi S4. The Rx8 was simply the most fun.

When I moved to this area I caught hell for having a Subaru and a Mazda. One co-worker said "What about your neighbors? Don't you care if they sell cars to support their families?"

My reply "Jeff - the guy I bought the subaru from - he took his commission back to HIS family."

Her: "Well - the car wasn't MADE here! The factory workers..."

Me: "What do you drive?"

Her: "Camaro"

Me: "Made in CANADA"

Her: "Uh...oh. Right"
