Yes please!
I'm lucky if I get 12.1 on the highway keeping her at 68/72MPH!!
Then again, she's running 33" muds and has about 500lbs of gear from the 2nd row back but still.
I've been seeing the same and am wanting to get the most miles for the buck. Tires in this size are expensive and maximizing miles is the goal of the data gathering from this post.
Also this from Four Wheeler Network, Off Road Magazine posted in How To on September 1, 2009...
So far, I've run Cooper STT PROs and currently, Mastercraft Courser MXTs, both in a LT285/70R17 run between 55-75lbs psi.
I'm noticing less millage from the Mastercrafts as well as less crisp handling. I also don't feel as confident in the rain with the Mastercraft's like I did the STT PROs...
Thank you.
The old ones were almost shot as they had almost 200k old then the lift placed them at a very harsh angles that finished them off.
I wanted them powder coated because the florescent yellow would've been way more stunning but there wasn't a way to get the bushings out without...
Like the video shows. Amazingly enough, due to Premium Sound, it was a 6x8's that was actually made up of a round midrange/low and a separate tweeter in the same housing.
The OEMs were not a bad build however, the new Pioneer 4-way 6x8 with dual tweeters have a nice separation of sound. And for...
One thing I did was at my local auto parts store, I asked them if they knew of a good mechanic (client) that works out of his home on the side.
That got me a mechanic that was also an instructor at Lincoln Tech for mechanics.
The shops need too charge more due to overhead but his mechanics...
Definitely not hammering on the OP. He's stressed and wondering if he should dump the Expo. Take the Expo out of the equation and make it any maintenance required device/object and the answer is the same. Dealer work is expensive and beyond that, they gouge for the most basic of work.
Then...
I've heard the same but apparently with slight modification.
I just don't know what year/model is the correct one to start with.
Also, if you see that little rust spot on the coil spring. Found out the hard way that, at least the 2nd Gen, doesn't have bumpstops. Full drop means taking a hit...
Is the way she chews up the front upper control arms.
This is why I need to fabricate my own for all four corners using uniballs and some heim for the steering.
Dude!!
YouTube and learn your way under the hood!
I could've done these repairs for around $400 in parts, maybe. AND you're going to the dealer?!? No wonder you're hemorrhaging funds.
I've grown tired of not having options for Expedition accessories so I've decided to design and fabricate them myself including actual suspension lift options that provide some serious ground clearance and wheel travel abilities.
I'll obviously be making them available once done. I'll create a...
