    Timberline Transmission and MPG

Yeah this will adjust substantially depending on your consumption over the last X number of miles. For example, when I fill the tank after a week of short trips/city driving, the range estimate is somewhere in the mid 300s. But when I fill up on a 1000-mile road trip after being at cruising...

Don’t have an answer to your question, but I’d love to have options for replacing those things with some real sliders.

Timberline - LED Reflector Headlamps - Auto Adjusts w/Road?

I’ve never noticed it on our ‘22 Timberline.

‘22 Timberline Driver Door Master Switch Module Died (no control for folding mirrors, windows), then started working again

By “remote”, do you mean the key fob? And if so, then why would the engine start ok?

‘22 Timberline Driver Door Master Switch Module Died (no control for folding mirrors, windows), then started working again

So our 2022 Expy Timberline with only 11k miles on it had its driver door master switch module (not sure if that’s even what it’s called) die on us this morning. Our apartment building has smaller and more narrow garages, so I am constantly folding the mirrors in and out in order to move the...

Timberline Sly Brackets no-drill front plate bracket

it doesn’t block the sensors but will obstruct the intercooler intake partially - this is the case even with the OEM bracket. See this discussion in the post just before yours.

Timberline Owners Question - BO center speaker cover

Well I guess there is some comfort in knowing that the new replacement is the same as the original… makes me think it’s supposed to be “wavy” like this.

    Timberline Vinyl application

At the time I was in central Florida and I think it was about $125 for blacking out the chrome trim strip that surrounds most of the vehicle. But the areas around the fog lights were like $200 because, although smaller and used less material, was a special color that had to be ordered and was...

Let's See Those Lifted / Big Tire Gen 4s!!

A photo down the side of the rig so we can see how much the wheels/tires “poke” out the sides from the wells.

    General lack of aftermarket mods

That makes sense for the GX/Pardo, and I suppose the Taco, but isn’t the Tundra/Sequoia a predominately U.S. product? And yet, mods galore for those guys.

    General lack of aftermarket mods

Yeah proportions are important, and I think it’s harder to achieve this with a Ute as big as the Expy. Slap 37s and new suspension on it to make it nice and level, and then the damn thing doesn’t fit in the garage. On the other hand, while there’s some sick looking 4Runner rigs out there, at...

Timberline Owners Question - BO center speaker cover

I have had the oil changed on this thing twice now (actually 3 times) and I keep forgetting to mention it to them. I am hoping that if anyone gets this fixed or at least looked at, or the other issue with the center speaker, that they report back here what the result was.

    General lack of aftermarket mods

Don't get me wrong here, we really like our '22 Timberline. We are longtime Toyo/Lexus owners, having given up a GX460 for this Expy - decided that the wait for the new Sequoia wasn't worth it, and didn't care for the 2nd/3rd row seating or the rear cargo storage on that new redesign anyway...

Timberline Owners Question - BO center speaker cover

Mine is like this too. What I find more annoying is the seam where the dash meets the instrument cluster, behind the steering wheel. It looks like it needs to be "snapped" together better, but it won't. Has a slight gap on one side.

My foot activated liftgate is possessed - can I turn it off?

The UI will let you deactivate it, depending on the year/interface. On our ‘21, we could only deactivate the power liftgate entirely (turning it into a manual liftgate) which was dumb. But on our ‘22 there’s actually a setting in the UI for us to deactivate only the foot sensor. This is but...

Timberline Sly Brackets no-drill front plate bracket

This was definitely a consideration, but it’s not like it’s completely blocked or something. Half of the plate is over the plastic, and the other half is covering, what, maybe 20-25% of the mesh? It’s looks “worse” in that last photo b/c it was taken from a low perspective, with wide-angle...

Timberline Sly Brackets no-drill front plate bracket

This has been on the Timberline for about a month now, and I’m pretty impressed with the product. Highly recommend. Installation was pretty straight forward. And if we ever move back to a state where front plates aren’t required, it’s easily removable and I don’t have to worry about filling...

LED vs Non-LED OEM tail lights

Different strokes, I suppose. Like I said above, I just associate stock LED lighting with more premium vehicles. That, and the instant on/off characteristics along with all the cool sequential illumination you can do with them appeals to my more juvenile side I guess.

LED vs Non-LED OEM tail lights

You’re not wrong. But I guess I associate LED lighting with more premium vehicles, and I certainly feel that we paid a premium price.

LED vs Non-LED OEM tail lights

I understand the difference in electrical resistance in incandescent vs LED, but this doesn’t really explain why a swap would not work if the same fixture is being used in the higher Expy trims. An example of what I mean: Let’s say the incandescent fixture’s turn signal is creating...

LED vs Non-LED OEM tail lights

There are plenty of threads on here that advise a simple and direct/plug-n-play swap of the OEM incandescent taillights for the OEM LED taillights can’t happen, unless FORScan is used and/or a special harness or resistor pack is added, etc etc. But, can anyone explain to me why this is the...
