So...anyone found black lug nuts that don't suck?
McGard?
I saw Ford has a set, but they're $170 (which is freaking insane) and honestly look like they're capped like our crappy OEMs.
What makes you think a random third party shop waiting on a 3rd party warranty company inspector will be any quicker? Seriously.
Also, read the fine print on those 3rd party warranties, especially what is covered and isn't as well as ancillary benefits. Ford's is just better. All around. Zero...
Used to run ~50 in some 35's with a max of 80. Still pretty stiff, but that's what you get with load range E LT tires. I didn't venture much lower than that.
the 2017 3.5 ecoboost+ f150s all have the exact same transmission as us. 10R80. Gearing is probably identical too. Nothing changes between this gen expedition and same year F150's with regards to powertrain/drivetrain. We just have IRS in teh back but same size ring gear/housings even.
The F150s seem to have no problems with cooling, and they're often under higher load due to poorer aero and often worked harder towing and hauling things. Never had a temp issue hauling a 30' travel trailer with our '17 F150, and that was on 3.31 gears at 35" tires.
Ford's warranty>ANY warranty you can get. Ford dealers have the "in" with Ford on warranty stuff. There is no waiting for a "3rd party inspector" to come out at their leisure and inspect, etc.
A lot of folks aren't making it clear, their appts booked weeks or months out are because they're...
It neither specifies included nor excluded on the build sheet or window stickers. But the fact that it doesn't mention included in the build guide or window sticker sounds like it isn't.
Order guide is pretty vague with regards to this. I'd presume with the 3.5HO it would have the heavy duty radiator. The only place I can find the words "heavy duty radiator" are on the Timberline description.
yeah, so I know they do that in 4wd. My question pertains specifically to 2wd. Will the 'slippery' mode in 2wd perform similarly? Say I'm in snow and one wheel spins, will it apply the brake to send power to the other wheel?
SPECIFICALLY - let me ask this. I have a 2wd expy. We're in Florida, so lets be honest. I really don't NEED 4x4.
But we have the "slippery" and "trail mode" drive modes. I know on the Bronco, the drive modes tend to use the brakes as traction advantage devices to prevent slipping, not unlike...
The daily tune is not substantially less power than the 93 performance tune. But if you're not towing anything and running 93 as it is, man, run that 93 performance tune!
The trick to turning TC off is pressing and holding the TC button for a solid 10 seconds. That's when it shuts off...
how are you launching?
if 4x4: 4A or 4Hi, sport mode, traction control disabled. Hold the brake, press the gas until you can hold decent rpm, then let go of the brake and dump it. The back end should squat.
What are your rear gears?
Pedal commander doesn't increase power at all. That is a variation attributable more to driving, conditions, and timing system variation more than anything. It also doesn't open the throttle any sooner/more.
why are you running a pedal commander with a 5 star tune? Should just put it in sport mode. It's definitely quicker than 16 seconds at a legit track with a 5 star 93 daily tune.
Stealth performance with 3.73s and 440hp/510lbs and you don't buy it?

the differential on the HD tow is bigger/stronger than non-HD tow models. If you want to mess around with the power on these, having a 9.75" ring gear is better than an 8.8.
