    35" tires

it may be true that "many people" think of ground clearance in that way. many people are wrong.

    what trans?

I have looked everywhere I can think of. where did you find out? I'm not arguing about how the 4R100 is built, I believe you. I just want to know the source for your assertion that 44E code means the 4R100 trans. I have absolutely been unable to find that out. I'm hoping to learn something here...

    All Repairs

In my younger days, I did all my own work, short of rebuilding engines or trannies. Now my heart limits my strength and endurance so I farm out almost everything. last couple of jobs I did were a coil pack and an alternator; both of which kicked my ass. I've been meaning to do my rotors, but I...

how? specifically, how? if the bottom of the differential is still the same height above the ground, how is that an increase in ground clearance? how do these puck spacers move the differential farther from the ground?

    Stupid Crappy Underbody Protection!

'nother Texas person here... but I've lived above the frost line. It might melt, but then again, it might build up and freeze up until it puts the squeeze on something significant. depends on which way the temperature goes.

Cost of New Brake Pads and Rotors

from all my research, the "best" rotors for daily driving or towing are the heavy, solid rotors; they will carry a higher heat load before developing issues. drilled and slotted rotors are best for constant brake use - they dump heat faster than others, forestalling issues such as fade.

    Water Fording - 2017 EL?

I've seen an Amazon kit that extends those tubes as you suggest.

    35" tires

I apologize in advance for the rant. Some of this is getting old. Sometimes the best thing is to keep my mouth shut, but I don't always do the best thing. There is one way, and only one way, to get increased ground clearance, and that's by installing taller tires. Or vertical lift jets, like...

    police interceptor air intake

I've read elsewhere that the Ford Police Interceptor engine horsepower increase is mostly from opening up the air intake. can anyone comment, verify, etc.?

    4.6 Police Interceptor 2004

here's a thought: rather than replacing the manifolds, I wonder whether it would be possible to take the computer out of the police car and put it in the Expy?

    storage dawers in a 1 st gen 1997 - 2002

The store bought solutions cost more than a car. The fascist Youtube has multiple howto videos showing how to do it yourself. I haven’t seen a metal one, but seek and ye shall find - it’s the internet.

    $1100 tail light

Once upon a time, in Texas, my car was totaled. I was offered chump change for it. The other party was at fault; I was talking to their insurance company. On advice of a LEO, I went car shopping locally and documented several like vehicles, and their prices. The insurance company wound up paying...

What to look for when buying a gen 2 expy

"Triton" is a product name - it's branding. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Modular_engine. Apparently Ford used it through 2010. Most Ford models changed from the 2v to the 3v at the same time; I have no clue why. It's not the first time they've done something like that (look up the 7700...
